This 1st round is such that anyone trying to trade up must REALLY like a particular player, so the team selling the pick has a ton of leverage. Going to be pretty difficult to pull off. I just hope our board values those overrated guys where they should be, not where consensus will have them.

I find it odd that Soderstrom gets mentioned a lot more than Cam York.

There is some noise it’s Boldy. Stupid kid is playing his way up the board. I do NOT want D with pick 1. If we don’t get Boldy should we sign a few offer sheets?

Nothing wrong with Caufield at 10 if Zegras and Boldy are gone. Kid makes any pass to him into a dangerous shot, even bad passes. He looks like a regular 30-40g guy which is a huge success for 10oa. He would also allow Petey to do more play making. He only has Boeser to pass to right now, imagine him having 2 options on the ice.

Just a (somewhat obvious) reminder that Caufield won’t be allowed to leave the zone early & float between the red line & opposition blue line waiting for breakaway passes in the NHL.

Korczak would be an excellent complete to Hughes.
Poulin using his size and speed well.
