Not yet but I am going to go to a Canucks game there next time I am in Vegas will try to plan the trip around that.
Just can't bring myself to cheer for a Bettman team. Hopefully SJ takes them out. - LordHumungous
We should cancel the picnic and plan a big road trip to Vegas to watch the Canucks instead. That would be something. |

There might be border 'issues' with some of the posters here. |

The bigger issue might be , some needing permission from their parents and spouses |

Barret Hayton (drafted last year ) and Olli Juolevi are the only top 5 picks to never play a NHL game in the last 10 years .
You can add Michael Dal Colle to the list if you said never played a NHL game in the first three years after draft.
Posters can spin it anyway they want but that was not a good top 5 pick for Benning.
Now I am done Minivan . |

He was guaranteed games this season but yeah, the selection has fallen short without a doubt. |

He would have been given games only to silence the masses. Johnsen said last year they are still working on his game on the back end. I think he will be a NHL player and will put up points but I am also accepting there will be issues with the game in his own end.

At the time I thought it was, it doesn't look good now. He's got a tough road ahead of him. |

Thats your spin. They still work on each players game at the pro level too......Goldobin, Virtanen, Hutton etc...
Not unusual.... |

My spin? How many NHL games has he played? If he wasn't selected 5 th O/A he would be behind Sautner and Briesbois who have both played in the NHL

You said that he would only play to silence the masses - thats your spin, no one elses.
Yet, you seem to use the fact that he was injured to prove some perverse point. Had he not been injured, he would have absolutely been called up to play, growing pains and all. Not just to "silence the masses". C'mon man, stop being such a drama queen..... |

Check your facts . Back when they were winning cups they had more patience and let players take 3-4 years . That is over 10 years ago. In the last 10 years they have been bringing them in after 2 years and their selections have had just as many misses as they have had hits.
There is a big difference to players NHL ready now , these days compared to 15 years ago. - VANTEL
Ken Holland inherited a Stanley Cup winning roster full of All-Star veterans both young and old, the biggest reason they let kids soak is because there wasn’t any room for them. |

Believe it or not, Juolevi is only 20 years old, 21 next month, I could name a handful of good nhl defensemen to make their NHL debuts at that age. There’s hope for him yet.
Edit: PK Subban played two games at 20 years old a month before turning 21 in 2010. The next season was his first full season at 21 years of age. As an example. |

I think the bus ride down could be televised as UFC 260. |

The King Queen calling others Drama Queen
Using a point of a guy with a history of being injured should be a part of an equation. For a guy that thinks he is smarter than everyone you really are not that smart.
He really is not a better all around Dman than Briesbois or Sautner at this stage. He does need more development .
I would not be surprised if he steps into camp and within a month has another season ending injury .
He was a bad choice for the 5 th over all. If you think he is not then God Bless your soul.

How many 5 th over all picks are 20 years old and did not play in the NHL? Simple question. He was drafted 3 full years ago. He is coming into his 4 th year and still not expected to make it out of camp to the Canucks. |
