I'm sure Shanahan (who accompanied Kadri at the hearing) showed them the missed calls in that game which made it get out of control. There are things that happen behind the scenes we're not privy to. You think the league likes it when their refs determine the outcome of a game and are called on it?

That's not why they lost. This is the playoffs. The game changes. The fact that the game changes won't change.

At this point, with how bad the Leafs PP/PK are, they're actually better off if the referees don't call a single penalty either way.

People complain that Chara crosschecks everyone and gets away with it.

You know what Rielly did after he threw DeBrusk into the boards when DeBrusk was on the ice? He crosschecked him. Referees didn't call a thing. Did Leafs fans complain about that? I don't think so.

There's a fine line the players need to walk and learn what they can and can't do. Kadri hasn't figured it out yet and that's why he got suspended. But everybody else, figure it out and just play playoff hockey.
