People complain that Chara crosschecks everyone and gets away with it.
You know what Rielly did after he threw DeBrusk into the boards when DeBrusk was on the ice? He crosschecked him. Referees didn't call a thing. Did Leafs fans complain about that? I don't think so.
There's a fine line the players need to walk and learn what they can and can't do. Kadri hasn't figured it out yet and that's why he got suspended. But everybody else, figure it out and just play playoff hockey. - JohnFergusonJr
Nobody can find the line because it moves all over the (frank)ing map depending on everything from the players involved to the score of the game to the amount of previous infractions called.

It really doesn't.
The Leafs got more PP than the Bruins today. Difference was, they went 2 for 2. Leafs went 0 for 3.
Kill one penalty and score one PP goal and they win.
There's no reason why the Leafs couldn't have done that. A 50% PK and 33% PP is very do-able for this team.
Just hit him like everybody else. Plenty of Leafs have hit him already.
Play hard. Good things will happen. - JohnFergusonJr
Yea but why not break some of his ribs after the whistle like he tries to do to players every time he steps on the ice? I get “giving it back” but Chara is the modern Pronger and gets waaaaaaay too much leeway.

It had to be game 7 in Boston. Everything is as it should be. I'm so (frank)ing Zen right now. The hand pointing at the penalty box is not the penalty box.
How does one prove they are a real life tough guy? I'm a ref and was gonna tak a pic of my Crest next to a sign that said (frank) of trash panda but then I realized he called me an idiot after a bjs fan said the leafs needed to win in 6 so they could face them next round. I asked the guy why if he wanted to play the leafs would he want them to win in 6 not 7 as you always want the opponent to play as much as possible in the previous round.
Edit: I cant be a ref because I'm posting this too

It really does, though. Today, Boston deserved more penalties, but they didn't get them because.. well I'm honestly not sure why. But they were close calls, and nothing was "obvious" enough to warrant a call, and that right there is a farce in it's own right.
And I'm not blaming the Refs for this loss by any stretch. You are right, special teams didn't perform and that's why they lost. It's been a key factor all series and it may very well decide to makes it to round 2.

Sorry that was from before on a disagreement on a call to prove I was a ref. Theres a difference in rules from college to NHL and we got into it. I'll let that die now

And the Leafs did plenty of things that could be called penalties that weren't too.
