Refs were good in TO. And by good I mean only slightly biased towards Boston.

Game 5 could have very easily been another poop show the way they were letting Boston players go all night. Wouldn’t surprise me if Game 7 is more of the same, but the Bruins back to game 2 behaviour.

They aren't gonna call anything in a game 7. It's not just your series they have been bad league wide

disagree, for the most part. refs let almost everything go that they could. Saw a bad call for each team, but the refs didnt make a difference in the game. Anderson made some pretty sick stops too. kid has some meat.

Then again, you did get the call wrong so maybe you are a ref.

Yup it happens to everyone of us but usually you learn from a mistake and try not to replicate it. Hardest part is I work out of 4 different rulebooks and each is slightly different. USA jr an ej (game ejection) is the rest of that game and a game misconduct is the next game. College a game misconduct is the rest of that game and a disqualification is the next game. Youth high stick is shoulder but jr and college and h.s. is the crossbar. Then hand pass and high stick are different in all 4 books as well as the icings some are hybrid others are old school

They called 8 penalties last year in game 7.

4 each.

there was no way this wasn't going to game 7, no way the Leafs were slaying this dragon without doing it in Boston in game 7. personally i think the Leafs play their best game of the season and win it.
- DoubleDown

Leafs get an early cheap penalty, Boston scores. Leafs collapse and the game is over.

We have seen this movie before.

Man we are in trouble if that happens again. Boston is going to feast on our PK and laugh at our powerplay.

Regardless of who wins game 7. Columbus looked fantastic in their series. Boston and Toronto have both not been at their best. Would either have even a decent chance against the Jackets?

Nah I won't. Why would anyone lie about reffing anyhow?
- Upstate_isles

isn't lying a job requirement? whether lying to teams in an authoritative way or lying to yourself?

This is really impossible to tell. Do you really think Tampa played to their potential and it was all Jackets? Also, the Jackets on a long break now may work to their disadvantage early next series.

In think the problem is people think it's an easy job, there a lot going on out there you cant see all of it all the time, things will get missed. And no I dont lie if I missed a call or made a mistake I will own it and tell the captain or coach I either (frank)ed up or didn't see it. Doing so gives you credibility and a level of respect as opposed to lying about a call. Integrity of the game is important

to be fair (and you know I don't prefer to cut slack for stupidity)...

he was probably correct in some hockey rule book somewhere - and that's all that matters...

you could be wrong in 5 or 6 rule books - as long as you are correct in the 1927 Women's College Hockey Handbook - your golden....

"I couldn't see it clearly"... therefore I didn't make the call.

Unless you've made the show as a ref you work all different levels, ahl guys do echl and ohl and college all different books. Once you make the NHL its exclusively one rulebook. Refs like players have to move up the ladder to get to where they are for someone that doesn't cut slack for stupidity you're extremely close minded

From what I saw, my take is the Jackets finally found their chemistry post trade deadline and became a team that may have been just as dominant in the regular season if that lineup was there from day 1. I think Tampa for sure underestimated them but the Jackets played every game on fire and were dominant, which I think is more of the Jackets being good than Tampa not playing to their potential.
