Like i said...
I’d obviously prefer not to have him
BUT since he’s actually putting up 14goals as a bottom6 player- he’s not as dreadful/useless/etc as ppl are saying
And since he does provide a bit (not a lot- i know) to the bottom6
I don’t wanna use that late 1st to get rid of him
Bc that’s what it would take
I wanna use that late 1st to continue building much needed talent
And unfortunately...
it might get to the point where we eventually have to bury him like we did Moulson - jdfitz77
But he isn’t putting up 14 goals “as a bottom 6 player”
He put up 7, with 8 more on the PP where he wouldn’t get that ice time if he had any top 6 forward ahead of him.
That’s how to objectively evaluate him. |

guys who put up similar numbers to okposo last season
simmonds
eriksson
e-rod
maroon
brad richardson
sam bennett - homiedclown
Now do how many of them have a $6m cap hit over the next 4 years. Erikkson
The point is, he cramps our style on trade targets and FA acquisitions.
If Skinner signs, it sure would be nice to have more than $17 mil to sign 5 guys |

I'd give up the late first to move him
he doesn't check any boxes
1. can't score
2. no speed
3. no grit
addition by subtraction
I'd rather have reinhart, nylander and player x with a true scrub for 4th line |

I like the age range you’re targeting
Cost might be too high for me considering we have Mitts as our “2C in waiting”
And we could be drafting another guy this year with that high of a ceiling also
I’m thinking more long term, than short term here - jdfitz77
Hence why much earlier this season I was, and still am vocal about acquiring RNH.
- Age is perfect
- 2 years left is ok
- $6m for 65 - 75 points is terrific
- versatility to move to 2nd line wing for Mitts at 2c is valuable

I kinda agree:
It changes another face of losing from the lockerroom
4. He cant fight
5. Injury prone/ dependability issues
Yes , if he is a 4th liner , he should have the ability to protect himself . Even better if he could: protect the other soft guys.

That's a straw man trade, so I'm not going to argue about that. There are numerous other options out there
But if you're asking me whether I'd have that late pick and Okposo over the cap space, I'll take the possibility of Duchene or Eberle over Okposo and Roslovic - jcragcrumple
We see that differently i guess
Overpaying Duchene will end up being a mistake too |

Fair
Idk that we are bringing in enough guys that he’ll be knocked off the PP though?
And PP goals do count |

U keep bring up the 6mil like i dosagree on his contract
Yes, it sucks
No, i don’t believe we will get rid of him for anything less than the late 1st
And that’s a bad idea imo |

Assuming we can get him for Risto,
Ok
But as much as ppl bash Risto,
we would need to replace him |

Idk, but I do know if we still have Okposo and Bogo, Skinner will be our only splash move apart from the inevitable Risto trade. Salary constraints dictate that unless money is moved out in the off season, we can re-sign our own and basically stand pat. If we're interested in FA or trades, cash has to leave |

They count. But if he were to be taken off the PP, which IMO he will, what does his production look like?
Problem with him is he takes way too many penalties for a role player. And isn’t really good defensively.
He’s gotta he priority #1 to move |
