I am not quite sure how to comment on this at all. I just thank God that I was born into a family where I was taught skin colour and ethnic backgound was a non-issue in any aspect. My parents grew up in the 1930s and 40s. - sabreadvocate1
Actually they are very much an issue and very important. Why? Because they are part of the person's experience with life. Walk a mile in someone else's shoes.
I think what you meant to say is that you do not judge anyone by their skin color or ethnic background, which is commendable, but to say they are not an issue is incorrect. |

Hah classic can’t handle the changing times. - 2Real
It has been said “He who argues with a fool, is but a fool himself”. I get that you are a moron, so I disengage, not because I can’t handle the changing times, but because refuse to. The times are only changing ever so slightly at this point. When it reaches the breaking point, I guarantee you will be on the losing side. Keep poking the beast. There an awful lot of people fed up with all this nonsense. Don’t be surprised when the switch gets flipped. I sincerely hope we can avoid it and build a bridge within a united community, but people with your narrow minded, intollerant, and singular views, are preventing it. Seems like the ones preaching tolerance and inclusion, are the least tolerant and inclusive!!
Now go away, you’re annoying AND ignorant! |

I’m sure quite a few businesses do but the well run and good companies have a set of core values and stick by them.
One example is Chick Fil A. They got tons of backlash and still do because they stand by their values and don’t change because the heat is on.
As a matter of fact I’d say the social media push to hurt their business back fired.

There's always outliers. Obviously the best way to look at it is what happens in general.

IMO
In this current version of the world this was a loss loss scenario meaning their really is no good or correct move to make but the steps taken were the best of a bad list of options.
The people of this country are equal parts more in touch with their emotions, a good thing, and more prone to being snowflakes then at any other time I can remember and so doing nothing would have resulted in a lot of unnecessary drama.
Do I find it ridiculous that a rapper can spew out racists or misogynistic lyrics under the guise of artistic creativity without anyone pointing the finger while another flavor of singer apparently can't do the same thing..I sure do but that is the way life is.
That being said Im a big follower of Jocko Willink and his philosophy of Extreme Ownership. Meaning many things but one of them is that their is no such thing as a bad team , just bad leaders. If the leadership group responsible for the decision to erase this sad part of history would have allowed the statue and song to stay then they were telling those the lead that you can behave this way without consequences and that when you accept failure then failure becomes acceptable.
Im short while their was no right move to make doing nothing to address this would have been the worst choice of all. |

If the flyers had a backbone they would have came out of this fine. This can be addressed in one press release and if they had anyone articulate and intelligent working for them they would have been just fine. |

Isn’t it amazing that Robert kraft’s attorneys are claiming he and others we’re filmed illegally? Even if they were, really? lol |
