I had someone tell me yesterday the Seahawks got robbed on the Clark deal.
I said they could easily find 2 of him in this draft. - golfingsince
NFL draft picks are gold, I thought the Chiefs overpaid, they want to win while their young core is still intact and affordable. |

These days, I agree. He really hasn't been the same since his injuries, but prior to that he could take over a game. Still a really good player, but he's about to get overpaid this summer.

Friedman again on his podcast:
So at bare minimum it was 5th overall + another asset like Tanev, MTL wanted Horvat too but I doubt Benning was going to include him, probably a different asset instead. - Nucker101
Realistically, I could see the Habs pushing for Horvat and getting turned down.
Friedman is decent on rumours but he speculates a lot and calls it speculation so he doesn't get himself in trouble but instantly people leave out the part when he says "...and I'm only speculating here, I havent heard anything". I know you said the other day he was willing to trade all those assets...and Horvats name was in there. There's a line in the story. It separates the part where Benning confirmed he was looking to acquire Subban and then part that's speculation which is the assets Friedman mentions.

Fair enough, the "+" part of the package does seem speculative on Friedman's part.
But he sounds pretty certain that 5th overall/Dubois was the centerpiece. |

I find Friedman is good with rumors in the early stage. Initial phone calls or the tire kicking stage. His success rate at closing the deals is less than Eklunds

That would have been terrible. That's what re-signing the Sedins brings... not only does the owner keep pushing for the over the top player to add to them... but then re-signing them again because those over the top players were brought in.
This really does sound like a Linden/Owner thing to me.

I worked out of Hornepayne ( where goldie is from ) for a year. People tell me he was absolutely the meanest SOB that ever lived.

I have his jersey in the Fighting Saints away version. Same team that the 3 Carlson Bros played for. |
