Yeah, most teams wanna hang on to their 22-24 y.o. hot prospects. Anaheim’s blue line was a bit of a special case. I actually thought they were done getting rid of D. We got lucky I guess.

If things swing the wrong way, our 'extra 1st' is 5 spots ahead of the 2nd we traded away. We're not dealing with some kind of surplus of picks. I don't view it as untradeable, but when you're still rebuilding your system, you need to make picks.
