I would keep it but then again idk who is available. If we can swing a deal for a young forward who is in the 22-24 range that can help this team I’m all for it. Like you said though, trades like that are hard to come by. - Pegullaville
Yeah, most teams wanna hang on to their 22-24 y.o. hot prospects. Anaheim’s blue line was a bit of a special case. I actually thought they were done getting rid of D. We got lucky I guess. |

Last time I had a blueprint of what we were going to get from the blues before the trade actually happened I got my hopes wayyyyy up and it crushed in my face lol
This has that feeling - gerbe75pts
Yeah... that freaking sucked
We got screwed with high expectations |

Just speaking value here,
to try & balance the trade...
Risto > Foote
Callahan (Cap Space) = Gourde
Larsson/E Rod < Cirelli
Maybe something along those lines?
That only saves them about 4mil though
So we might have to take back another salary like Kilorn,
and then add something back to them that’s cheap (Tage? Cj Smith?)
Then they’re saving like 8mil +
And that’s what they’d need - jdfitz77

Or Miller?
idk? It’s not like i want Palat/Kilorn
I’m just assuming they wanna get more than just 4mil in Cap relief
Keep Skinner
Pull this Tampa trade off with Kilorn, etc
20-21 season
Skinner-Jack-Olofsson
Gourde-Cirelli-Sam
(7th pick)-Mitts-Nylander
Smith-Asplund-E Rod/Okposo/Pekar?
Dahlin-Foote
McCabe-Montour
Pilut-Borgen/Laaksonen

How was Eakins’ stick NOT above the crossbar?
Tough call for the Sharks

Ok if Tampa give us Callahan with foote I would not say a damn thing and we end up with Cirelli and Miller also that’s a win |

Hard no from me on Killorn or Palat. If they want cap relief + Risto?
Cirelli, Foote, Gourde and Callahan for Risto, Erod and a 3rd (+ maybe Olofsson?). That gains them Risto + over $5m in cap
If you think that Larsson and ERod are interchangeable, then please substitute Larsson for Erod
I'd do that deal all day. I'd even discuss retaining $1.25 on Risto if they take Larsson instead of Erod |

If things swing the wrong way, our 'extra 1st' is 5 spots ahead of the 2nd we traded away. We're not dealing with some kind of surplus of picks. I don't view it as untradeable, but when you're still rebuilding your system, you need to make picks.

Jokes aside, he's cheap labor who suits their up-tempo game. I assume that would appeal to them. If that gets us Cirelli, Foote and Gourde, count me in.
I obviously would not be happy to see my boy go |

I get what you’re saying
I’m just thinking they’d want 8-9mil in room instead of around 5mil
Let’s think how they’d talk about it
Tampa- whatcha want for Risto?
Sabres- Cirelli + Foote
Tampa- u gotta take Callahan in any deal
Sabres- ok, but we want Gourde then too
Tampa- alright, but we need more Cap relief
Sabres- whatcha thinking?
Tampa- Kilorn for Larsson?
Tampa- or Miller for Olofsson?
Sabres say what then?
Obviously we take Miller over Kilorn,
but then we give up Olofsson instead of Larsson
Tough choice
And that’s just a rough guess on how it might go |

Should’ve been Stastny, not Eakins
Sharks have life now though!
Side note
Anyone notice how Kane was the guy with Jumbo Joe that skated Pavelski to the bench?
Say what u want about his early days with us
He’s obviously grown up
Wish we still had him |

What a choke by Vegas - gerbe75pts
Are you stupid, that has to be the worst call in the NHL this year. Eakin crosschecked him in the chest, Pavelski loses his footing and Stastny runs into him and he go down. |
