Man...I feel for you guys. That was brutal.

It was a cross check, should have been a 2 minute minor.

But come on...stop a (frank)ing puck.

Ah... the "all vegas fans didn't watch hockey until last year " argument. Yep, you're a total Richard

Might have something to do with my lived experience as a Las Vegas resident with a pre-existing loyalty and a 25-year track record of observing the sport.

I agree. I thought it was a blatant, viscous cross check. Attempt to injure just like Kadri. But not to the head. Still injured the guy badly. 5 min all day

I disagree sparky. It was a cross check across the chest, it might get two in the regular season, usually not in the playoffs. That check steered Pavelski to Stasny, they got tangled and Pavelski went down hard resulting in unfortunate injury.

I would be outraged if the same call were made against the Jets. Game 7 makes it that much worse a call. Refs should be allowed to (maybe even required to) review a play before assessing a major.

That said the Knights didn't look like champions throughout the PK, the outcome is probably correct.

it was a cross check, it happens every damn game. Absolutely it should have been a 2 minute penalty, but if Pavelski doesn't fall awkwardly and get injured and bleed from a one-off fall, the game doesn't end the same.

blatant and vicious? we should just take all hitting and physicality out of the game then.

Jets fan here: That was the worst elimination game call I have ever seen, maybe worth 2mins in a non-elimination game... maybe. Whistles were away all night, it was an awkward fall, plain & simple. Vegas got screwed, no Canadian team should ever complain about officiating again because that was the worst call in playoff history! If that happened to the Jets here in Winnipeg the city would have rioted!

About the "blown call" .... Eakin would have and should have been given two minute cross checking penalty .. BUT .... his injury was caused by Stasny driving him into the ice. You cannot give them both penalties, even though Stasny actually caused the injusy and drew blood. So since only one player can be given the penalty ... it was Eakin and yes it drew blood ... hence the major penalty.

I've heard Marchesault complaing it was a f...ng joke. NO IT WAS an f...ng CHOKE !
Knights should have put them away last game. Remember they had a power play in overtime and shortie was scored upon them. Blame your penalty killing unit ... four goals in five minute span is rare. And coach "smilie" should have used his timeout during the power play to slow them down. Being a Hawk fan and enjoying THREE stanley cup winners in the past nine years, I can tell you it is about HOW YOUR TEAM RESPONDS TO ADVERSITY. Not good response. Just remember that the road to the stanley cup finals is rough and most difficult in all of sports. It's not a fairy tail as you had last year. Enjoy the growing pains

The sense of entitlement is why they lost; the only thing more entitled than a Knights player is a Knights fan.
