The wrong team moved on in that SJ series. Watching game 6 SJ was getting away with a bunch of clutching and grabbing and we’re getting outplayed the majority of the time. Wrong team moved on I hope Colorado stomps them

Good thing hockey isn’t decided by an eye test and a little more advanced stat. Sharks made the plays when needed Vegas didn’t

Agreed all the way around. The referees overreacted to Pavelski being injured. It was a two minute minor at most. LVK players whining about the referees is sour grapes. You can't allow 4 PP goals. That's absurd.
- PLindbergh31

I thought it was a 2 minute minor for crosschecking . I hate calls being made based on the result rather than the intent and honestly, IMHO, the only reason why Pavelski fell and slammed his head was because he was off balance and Stastny shoved him down. he didn't go down based on the initial crosscheck.

I wonder if there has been any consideration of replacing the Kate Smith statue with an Andrew MacDonald statue.
- PLindbergh31

I was hoping Eric Lindros but I’ll settle for Eric Desjardins or Gagne

I hate it too, just like with Malkin swinging the stick at Raffl, its only a one gamer? Even with the intent! If he made contact flush and knocked Raffl out or severely injured him or, maybe even blinded him, then what? It should be the intent thats penalized, not the result. Eakin in no way shape or form was being malicious, it was just a hockey play that went wrong, worse poop happens in front of the net every single power play. its hockey, this is what players signed up for, poop happens, unfortunate series of events, etc etc.

Why did the Pens blogger just write a scathing blog about how Mike Babcock is a fraud. LMAO...

Yes. It happened so fast, without the benefit of replay it's easy for the referee to get that wrong. Las Vegas has no grounds to complain, their PK got eviscerated with the season on the line.

Vegas needed Bellemare’s help to kill that penalty off, alas he was a scratch.

I can't believe that, you have a guy like William Carrier who played 7 minutes, didnt even play in OT, yet a guy like PEB who can play any position, and his only duties on that team are to be solid in his own zone, can win faceoffs if necessary, and be a PK'er. Imagine in the 3rd having a fresh PEB on the bench for that PK? I mean i know he wasn't like the difference maker of game 7 like it sounds like im doing, but he could have had a huge impact for that specific reason. it was comical how they folded on that PK, it seemed like every shot got through, they didnt win one faceoff, and fumbled several clearing chances away.

Why didnt Gallant use his timeout after the first one? or even the second one??

Haha i love it, went at his neck. I've looked at Babcock as a fraud for some time now as well, won one cup with a stacked team. What else has he done? Team Canada

It's hard to imagine the Flyers in a game 7 at the moment.

I think Leafs fans are disappointed with Babcock, but he's not a fraud. If the Leafs fired him, he'd be unemployed for 30 seconds.

I don't get the Pens blogger ranting about Babcock. Must have an ax to grind.

Him getting a job quickly does not change the fact that he's under achieved for the majority of his coaching career. Misery loves company, he's also trying to prove his point how it was the coaches "horrible" decisions rather than top guys not showing up. He blasted Sullivan all Islanders series (right or wrong, idk). Toronto scored 1 goal... that's why you lost.

They've lost in the first round 3 years in a row. Once to Washington, and twice to Boston. Can you definitely say the Leafs are better than those teams? I don't think they are. Not sure how that is underachieving. They are getting beat in long series by better teams.

I would probably do that.

I would also be interested in if you could do something like:

To Florida: Gostisbehere
To Philadelphia: Trocheck

- J35Bacher

If FL has interest in Ghost I'd try get Tippett, even if it means adding something else to the deal.

I also alluded to his entire coaching career, he was gifted stacked Detroit teams and won one cup. If you have Matthews, Marner, and Tavares on your team a first round exit is inexcusable, idc who you played.

Marchand, Bergeron, Pastranak are every bit as good as that trio of Leafs if not better. The Bruins defense core is better, and Rask is better than Andersen. Not sure what you are talking about.

What will tonight’s game 7 reveal? Thankfully a 7:30 start time. Jerks or Caps for the win?

Rask is better than Andersen, which one is right outside of the Vezina voting? I'd argue the Leafs are deeper at forward too. Once again you've avoided his Detroit stint too. So, not sure what you are talking about.

I like Carlo, I feel MaCavoy is a little overrated. Good player but he's talked about like he's the next Ray Bourque, kid gets danced quite often.
