Still sour that the Flames got bounced in five and that the sad sack Oilers have more playoff wins in the past 10 years than the Flames.
- Reveen.

Of course they are. Cant even go one day without deflecting the pain of LOSING.

Quite funny, some good lines in there.
Not quite as funny though as the Oilers with 2 of the top 5 players in the world missing the playoffs-again.
How is that even possible?
Don't worry however, your new GM will fix it, when he arrives in August.

- Rang

Deflection is a disease. Just because the flames top line is S-A-W-F-T and little johnny doesnt give an frack about losing again doesnt make it the oilers fault. You forgot the mcdavid will ask for a trade this summer prediction.

I think he was referring to Lucic and Russell.

I don’t blame you for scratching at any positive stat you can find, it’s good practice for the many coming seasons of futility and frustration for the Oilers. Dig away. At least your not going back to hiding under a rock like so many Oilers fans do!

Yes we did!

It was a lot of fun to be honest. Coming home and watching us kick ass on the tube made so many of my days. Watching our young prospects excel into NHL caliber players, with even more in the pipeline makes me happy and sleep easy at night. I’m very stoked about our future! How about you?

Does your team make you sleep better at night?

I think we all know the answer to that..

You might not be that far behind us....as I pointed out the Flames aren’t elite they are inconsistent.....haven’t made back to back playoffs in how long? Yes our franchise is a right (frank)ing mess but we have no idea what the Flames really are

My friend I have become numb to this poop so I sleep just fine at night.....maybe you guys have a good future who knows.....make the playoffs in back to back years then I can open up to the idea that the Flames are truly good.....who’s starting next year btw? How many productive years does Gio have left? Are you that confident that Jenny and the gang have it in them to take the Flames on a deep playoff run? Tbh it wouldn’t have been so bad if you guys weren’t the #1 seed

Well if history repeats itself... they're a non-playoff team next year.

Wow are you ever a butt hurt little Oilers fan.

30 teams will not win the Stanley Cup every year. I guess that makes the rest of the NHL teams a bunch of losers, huh.

Does losing in the playoffs hurt? Yes. Do we have to shake it off? Yes.

Do we have an incredibly bright future ahead of us? Yes.

You speak of deflection in every single one of your posts when the only one really deflecting is you. And you know it. You must be a sad sad little man. I feel sorry for you.

I feel like I’m justified in calling them inconsistent.....not saying they are a poop show like us but they really haven’t done too much either....I’ll concede they are further along then we are

When a team wins their conference, you don’t consider them elite?! Like what are your (frank)ing standards?! Holy shît dude, I know you to be smarter than this.

By that standard Tampa Bay isn’t elite either. What colour is the sky in your world these days R80? Have you jumped on the team bashing train like so many fools just to make yourself feel better?! Comon dude, your better than this.

Sounds like you need a vacation friend lol.

Elite is a term I use for teams that have success over a period of time and making the playoffs every other year doesn’t exactly make you guys elite.....you guys has an awesome regular season....can’t take that away....hell I picked you guys to get to win the first round ffs and I support Gio as a Norris winner....make the playoffs next year is all I’m saying.....start being consistent.....that to me doesn’t sound like hate at all

Agreed. Elite doesnt happen over 1 regular season. 1 heck of a regular season feasting on bottom dwellers like the Oilers, Canucks, and Kings doesnt make a team elite. Do it again next year and go somewhere beyond the 1st round and I might concede them being an upper echelon team. Go out and miss the playoffs or lose in the 1st round again and they're just another team.

What’s your definition of inconsistent? Years missing the playoffs? The past is the past, nothing you can do to change that.

It was Peters first year. Over a third our roster is new. We had the second youngest team in the NHL this year, and if Valimaki didn’t lose 2+ months to the dreaded high ankle sprain, we would have had the youngest.

We’re only going to get better. The future is very bright in Cowtown. If it’s consecutive years making the playoffs you want for consistency, you’ll be getting it for years to come. You can count on it.

Fair point, but by that metric is Winnipeg no longer elite? They lost in the first round. How about Nashville? Tampa Bay?

I guess the truth is, after our and R80’s chat, definitions of elite are different to some than others. I am fine with not being considered elite then. You guys win. I will settle for “a decent team” for now. Next year at this time however, we shall see..
