You could offer less to Kappy and the Leafs wouldnt be able to afford it. He knows he is as good as gone... he knows the Canucks will lock him into the top 6... he may find it appealing and sign it. I really really doubt they match. Do other teams OS a better deal maybe... but so few sheets are offered. Keep that in mind.

I believe Trouba will be traded & very difficult to acquire in any way but i do want him. He would be a key add & allow us many more options.

Adding to that with all the PO upsets & teams in cap trouble our cap space is a weapon that should get used. I’m expecting JB to play it close to the vest & let teams target our cap. It explains this young RHD he is seeking cuz other than Fox i’ve no clue where he will get him.
