you had to pay your painfully overrated coach double any other coach to go there.

there has never been any confirmation that Tavares took less money

you paid Matthews 11 mil coming out of his ELC, and didn't buy a single UFA year, and you're probably about to do the same to Marner

Your team has lots of money and lots of fans, but most players don't want to go there to deal with the overwhelming scrutiny that they are under ALL THE TIME by fans and media.

what player has ever given the leafs a "discount" to play there.....and don't say Tavares, he wasn't getting more anywhere else....that's just BS the leafs probably floated ot the media to make the contract look better.

Are you (frank)ing kidding me? You greasy Islanders bumholes have given your own team a bad name with how you treated Tavares. Go (frank) off

That was warranted. Would only have been better if it had hit him in the head.....

less painful than blowing another series lead to the Bruins, and having no 1st rd pick to fall back on................and I won't even get started on the cap hell you're team is about to enter.
- sensarmy_11

Well cap hell mean they have plenty of good player to pay...

True, you do not have that problem...

I thought there were no Leafs players who scored a point per game until I looked really close. Turns out Nazem Kadri was a PPG guy. What happened to him? He only played 2 games. Was he scratched? Is that why Leafs fans want Babcock fired?

goalies not withstanding (obviously yours is significantly better) I'd take our roster over yours, now and especially moving forward

I would much rather cheer for the senators than the leafs because of the fans and media.

So I'd take the Sens as is over the leafs.

Bruins top 3 forwards- Bergeron, Marchand and Pasternak - lower cap hits than the darling of Toronto Maple Leaf commercials, William Nylander.
I love all the commercials- just so catchy.

You can't blame them for being happy the Leafs lost though. We would be the same.

We have been in their shoes, where you don't have a lot of great stuff to cheer about your own team... but at least the team and fanbase you hate isn't going to win either.

The mood here is totally understandable.

No, of course not.

I get that, but the insinuation that it's worse than being a Sens fan right now is pretty laughable. There really isn't anything worse than that right now. It's rock bottom.

the Habs?

Not really no. I mean, Carey Price's contract hurts, but there is a fair bit of respectable youth there.

I prefer the cap flexibility and the up and coming young players on the Sens.

If you think the youth in Montreal is better than the youth in Ottawa than you’re even more retarded than I thought......which wouldn’t really be that surprising.

Hitting bottom is not a bad thing in financial markets, in addictions recovery and, just as important, in rebuilding an elite NHL roster.

The next few years will be fun.

Sens fans today are far happier with their team than are Leaf fans.

The Leafs were not as good this year as they were last year. Simply too many dancers in their chorus line. Other than Kadri, they do not have any good singers in their act.

Perhaps you forget the misery Sens fans went through when they finished first and lost in the opening round to the Leafs. Disappointment is directly correlated with expectations. Leaf fans had sky high expectations. So, their defeat causes extreme disappointment. Sens fans have had little by way of expectations for this season. Not surprisingly, most Sens fans finished the season okay with the progress of the young guys.

Tampa ownership had to put out a letter of apology to its fan base.

All this stuff is measurable. I talk to lots of Sens fans and I am surprised by the positive outlook of so many. Rebuild is an attitude. It can be fun. Decide to enjoy it.

This does not mean supporting the current ownership in any form.
