Because it's Columbus. How much is there to do besides go Blue Jackets game or Ohio State spoting events. - tomburton99
OK, it's not NYC. I've been to Columbus twice and loved it, although I'm a guy who doesn't like big cities.
Columbus is kind of a sprawled out college town, like a really big New Brunswick. Easy to navigate with some really good restaurants and bars. It's definitely not NYC, that's why I enjoyed t. I guess a guy that wants the big city experience would want to sign in a metropolis like NYC. |

Get out the check book for the bread man. I haven’t wanted a free agent so badly since Brad Richards. |

Give me the daily double with Duchene. Idgaf about 5-6 years from now or money issues. We get them, Fox and Kakko were in the playoffs next year and as you can see the seeds are meaningless

I’m not a big Duchene fan to be honest. Think he is a tad overrated and would be much more hesitant to give him a big contract. I also don’t think it would be wise to tie up all that money between Duchene and Panarin. I’ll be happy with The Bread Man then continue to be patient look for the right pieces. No reason to rush anything. |

Duchene is a dog. He's playing well now because money is on on the line. |

Feel same way about Hayes.
Difference is that Duchene plays for Torts. If he resigns in CLB, Torts will keep him playing hard. Another team/coach......who knows? |

Quinn is a tough guy too.
For arguments sake with him and Panarin this is helluva top 9 forwards
Duchene
Panarin
Zib
Chytil
Krav
Kakko
Kreider
Buch
Leimeux/Lias/Howden/strome/Stinky
Do I think they’d get Duchene, no, but I do think he’s found himself in the playoffs. With him and Panarin that’s a foundation of experience and skill you can build on with the other skill guys coming. Eventually they’re gonna have a spending spree and I’d rather do it sooner then later. Paying a Kakko or Kravtsov is so far away from even happening
I’d rather do that then offer sheet Marner or something like that (no assets leaving obviously)
They’re not sitting on their hands for to much longer because they’re getting the bonafide lottery pick they needed. Something big is happening this summer I can feel it! |

Duchene has never been a PPG player, hit 70 points only 2x and has had some real garbage years mixed it. He’s a slightly better Stepan and is 28 already. Hard pass on Duchene. |

Matt Duchene is all into God and the bible and what not and is a small market kind of guy
I don't think it's even worth debating whether he's good to target on July 1st, he ain't coming to NYC
I predict Nashville for him |

Our big 3 no doubt will be Kak, Krav & Zib. Then we have a bunch of role players and playmakers... with a "blue picket fence" |
