18 and 28 would get 8-9 or 10 possibly. Edmonton needs a host of picks like that. I’d even give them a second if Caufield is there at 8

It’ll be the tits if that happen

maybe Minnesota at 12, Florida at 13

I have a hard time believing any team is trading out of top 10 in this draft

It's really not though. The difference in caliber of player (especially this year, a not-so-special draft year as a whole) that you'd get at 8 vs. the types of guys that will be available at 18 and/or 28.

It's rare you see anyone trade out-of/into the top-10 anymore.

it's a rarity, off top of my head I remember the Devils trading the #9 overall for Corey Schneider

and the Penguins-Carolina made that trade where the 8th overall was included to get Jordan Staal

It’s rare to see you not be a dyck anymore too haha

Just thought of this, imagine the Rangers call up the devils and say hey we want Hughes and we’ll give you 2 and 18...that would be some news maker right there

The Devils lost that deal. Bo Horvat is really good.

The best part of that trade was I was at the draft. Bettman comes out and they boo him ruthlessly. In the Bettman weasel voice he screams into the mic "you're gonna wanna hear this!"

With Schneider breaking down "You're gonna wanna hear this" becomes funnier and funnier.

Especially considering you are doing the trade to get a fast rising player. If he is shooting up the Rangers board, probably at least half the teams in the league want him. I think at a minimum it's the 2 1sts + our second, and that's still probably not enough.

eh. I loved the show, honestly probably my favorite show ever, but I was a bit disappointed in the end. It was good, not great. Kinda like Sons of Anarchy. That was just cheesy

Rangers definitely have "draft currency"

having picks 18, 28, 37, and 58 would be some wheelin and dealin in their pocket
