Might be series defining. |

I know it’s a tough call, and who knows if it’ll be the right decision, but Karlsson has to be on their agenda this summer you’d think.
No matter how you look at it, they need a bonafide #1 d back there. We certainly can’t assume Miller will be that guy yet. Only way is pay someone big bucks because if you end up waiting to develop one, it could take forever - Slimtj100

For the Rangers draft benefit as well, the Stars could have been leading this series 3 games to none instead of trailing it 2 games to 1. That, had Bishop played to the expected level of a team's #1 postseason starter in both Games 1 & 3, and not allowed the pertinent soft goals he did in both one goal losses, including two in the Stars 3-2 Game 1 loss, despite facing only 20 Blues SOG.
In Game 3's, Stars 4-3 home loss, Bishop in key yielded Pat Maroon's GWG with just 1:38 remaining, while already again in his more usual down on the ice coverage positioning in playing for the puck to simply strike him, & failing to react otherwise at all to stop the shot. He also left the long side of the net nearly fully opened for Maroon to successfully finish easily up high. |

Then what’s the alternative? Never have a number 1 dman? They guy is still money, imagine what he would do on two healthy legs? We need a captain to lead us into this new era, and some bonafide elite players or superstars. He’s both. You can’t build a team from the bottom like we’re doing and worry about 5-6 years from now with his salary. You can’t build a team hoping you drafted one that comes to fruition in 3-4 years because if you do that, you may be in the same position in 3-4 years and all you did is just waste time. We got extremely lucky with McDonagh when we got him for Gomez and please don’t say Trouba is a number one guy because he isn’t, he’s basically Barrie and Shatty (when he was good) None of them are Erik Karlsson, not even close.
So my question is, who do we get that can fill this #1 dman? Because looking at these teams contending THEY ALL have at least one guy like that, some have two, and we’re sitting here with no one like that. Maybe miller, ok, but you can’t build a team maybes
