And Toronto will wonder what could have been after he leaves. Some will still defend Dubas and Matthews.

I would package Matthews and Nylander for McDavid this summer. I would throw in prospects if I have to.

With the cap situation I have also considered what a return would be for the nuclear option - trading Matthews. Nothing to do with him at all - he's great. But with the mismanagement and total forward heavy cap situation it is an interesting thought.

Nylander, Marleau, Zaitsev; there's other, better options to trade before Matthews.

But if 4 and 1/2 years from now, the Leafs haven't won a Cup and Matthews doesn't have a contract, it's probably best to move him before he Tavares' the Leafs.

What a Leafy thing to happen.

Finally get a 1st overall pick that yields a great player...

...but he's from Arizona, has bum shoulders and wants to leave ASAP.

Whatever Lou was doing, seems to work with Islanders with no name casts other than Berzal maybe? Even Berzal isn’t supposed to be as good as Marner never mind AM.

It's Trotz. Worst defensive team to best defensive team in one year. Jack Adams.

Luckily, they still got Marner.

And Tavares.

No one is giving a good return for WN. Marleau has a no trade. Zeitsev has a long contract so they won't get anything better than him in return. Basically the team will be worse next year regardless.

Dudes, my nephew has a perfect bracket. What the (frank)?

Did he fill out every combination? What’s the math there? 8! (Factorial)?

That's not true. Nylander is still young and has potential. If he plays with Matthews again, for a full season, his value will pop back up.

Marleau could still decide he wants to retire and his contract is perfect to dump in Arizona, July 2nd.

Zaitsev is still a RHD. Somebody will take him eventually.

All of these are better than trading Matthews right now.

That's a lot of ifs ands or buts. And none of them bring a premier defensemen to the Leafs. This is of course, just a fun thing to discuss, but what kind of blueline help could he bring? Could he bring another centre over as well? And a 1st rounder?

Gave away Neilson for nothing too. He'll be the next Harrington. There is a long list.

I hope the Leafs are watching. CBJ got themselves back into the game despite some bad non-calls, ridiculous diving by the Bruins and Chara telling the refs what to call.

The point is easy to see; you're angry at the Bruins, even though they were the better team.

A 22 year old winger that can play C, and already has 2 60+ point seasons. Yeah.. No trade value at all....SMH.

It's ok man, I am sure there are people who are able to function, somewhat, while living with the same challenges you face.

Only watched the third period of this game, but sure seems like Columbus is much stronger physically than Boston.

Sad to see Boston tie it up, really want them to lose. Yes, I’m a sore loser.
