Yeah lobbying for big oil is not at all what I wanted to do with my life but after a year of fruitless job searching if a company like Chevron shows interest you can’t say no. Too much potential for career and earning advancement

Its been life changing for me when I separated from the Air Force.

The issue with this Malkin having better winger malarky is just that, it's malarky.

What seems to be lost here is that all those wingers that worked with Geno were tried with Sid first and when they didn't work, Geno got them.

- Rinosaur

Sid was down long term when Neal got here. It had nothing to do with not working. Kessel and Sid had about 5-10 games together before HCMJ declared it a failed experiment.

Fact remains, Malkin has had the best pure goal scorers of this era.

I just don't buy into this premise that Malkin is frustrated and traumatized by Jack Johnson. I'm a fan of RW's blog, but I think this is a farcical excuse for a somewhat poor season from Malkin. Certainly poor on the defensive side of the puck.

IMO Geno made tons of mistakes this season and was frustrated with the coach pointing them out.

I’m just focusing on the wingers part and you found ONE that didn’t get Sid first. Good job lol

Rust, Fedetenko, Talbot, Ponikarovsky, Cooke, Rupp, Comeau, and Spaling were also his wingers for a long time... so there's that.

You take things too personally.

Somebody said earlier that Geno was frustrated with his wings. I'm pointing out the simple fact he's played with the best wingers (on average) in the Crosby/Malkin era.

How do we really know that Crosby and Kessel won't work? It was only tried for about 8 games during the Mike Johnston debacle.

In the short glimpses of Sid and Kessel on the ice, they create like a mufugga.

When they do play together it’s usually pretty good. Just doesn’t happen.

Do we need to point out the scrubs that Sid has played with? There's a ton of those too.

Malkin played the majority of the season with Kessel.....so what was the problem?

Thanks dude. They've been processing me for about a month now (no clue what's taking so long), but it's looking like my start date will finally be next Monday. I was pretty sulky when I first got offered because I detest the concept of special interest lobbying, but the more I've sat on my ass waiting for this start date, the more my excitement to start an actual career has outweighed my unexcitement for the actual job. Figure I'll make so many contacts and that the position will look impressive enough on a resume that if I just absolutely hate it won't be too hard to get hired somewhere else.

It infuriates me that they don't get more ES ice time together. They sucked together with Johnston cus, well, Johnston, but ever since Coach Farce got kicked to the curb every time they take the ice together they're lethal, but for some reason it's just assumed that they don't work together.

I also don’t really think there was a problem. Geno was over a point per game. His “struggles” were grossly exaggerated.

Problem with Geno that is.

Man these 30 year olds just can't carry a damn team anymore! We should trade them for guys that'll give us solid 50-60 point seasons and bring real heart and soul to the locker room. That'll carry a team!

I my opinion calling out your best players is just doing your job. In no way am issuing trade Malkin but if your the coach he can’t be anything more than another player. Fu ck his feelings make him do bag skates.

72, 70, 58, 72, 98 & 72 are the point totals Malkin has put up over the last 6 years. He is at a ppg, yes, but other than one year, he hasn't kept himself healthy.

Kessel stays healthy but is only putting up about 45 even strength points per season. He is on a stacked powerplay that generally stays on the ice for 3/4 of the pp time.

They are still valuable guys but it's not like they can't be replaced and it's not like you need to one for one replace them. Especially for a team whose depth everyone complains about, you don't have to get more star power, you need more good players to fill a lineup.

The team roster is 100% on the GM. The coach and GM do not seem to be on the same page. Who does ownership like more? Coach or GM? Who does Sid like more? While Rutherford 3 year extension doesnt start until July 1, is there any chance they break up early? Ron Francis is a Mario guy, no?
- i'mjustafan

Ahhhhhh fvck man, u just ruined my weekend I forgot gmJR got an extension and then u go and throw out the name of a pens legend who molded a team the just took out the caps. I just shed a tear
