To be honest I did not expect two wins at home like the Pens series. Isles need to score quick next game.

What a (frank)ing stupid way to lose. I know it’s only one game but wow. Why on earth would you even try a pass like that?

Who was the back man, because I imagine whoever it was may have called for it. Clutterbuck already had an open wing near the net to option or shoot. It's inconcievable that he would blind drop that puck back like that.

Two guys that were complete write offs a year ago come back and have a battle like that in the 2nd round of the playoffs.

Nope this is the isles they will lose to the canes. They need to generate offense

It really could keener. Isles were not sharp getting the puck in deep like the Pens series. I thought Toews had a bad game. It should be MDC time. Moose fit the Pens series better than this one.

Is what it is. Just have to win the next two think they had the edge most of the game just couldn’t bury it. That’s been the story far too ofelten but it got them here so... Powerplay is their Achilles heal but that’s not exactly breaking news.

I will say this: from my own experiences of playing over the years, long layoffs hurt me much more than short turnarounds. This team was incredibly in sync with their 3 zone puck movement in the Pens series but didn't look as sharp tonight. That can be a tough thing to get back when interrupted, but i expect them to look a good bit better in game 2

Toews looked solid in the Neutral and Offensive zones, but had a lot of trouble dealing with Canes forecheck when they dumped it in his corner.

Canes did a great job of shutting Barzal down. He had zero room but yeah when he did he did next to nothing with it.

This felt like a combo of rust and lousy PP as usual and being due for a loss after sweeping the Pens. This does not take anything away from the Canes. I just did not feel good about this game after the missed early chances.
