According to Natural Stat Trick, Canes had more shot attempts at even strength, but Isles had more chances.

The one exception? Nino Niederreiter. Shots were 22-9 in favor of Carolina when he was on the ice.

Canes did a great job of shutting Barzal down. He had zero room but yeah when he did he did next to nothing with it.

Leo was one of the few Isles I liked tonight. Maybe he though TT was Malkin?

Barclays has plastic pipes which doesn’t even meet nhl requirements so there’s that. Barclays ice is exceptionally bad even compared to let’s say MSG from what I’ve read.

Trick is, Lee was not on a trajectory to hit Mrazek. Mrazek kicked his pad 18 inches outside the crease and Lee was 'guided' into it by the Carolina dman, but he was never in danger of entering the crease. Tough call. https://twitter.com/ThisI.../1121936349702098944?s=09

have to disagree here. I do agree it wasn't a real shove but he did cut him off into Mrazek. That said, Lee's trajectory was from the goalline up to the top of the crease at which point he was never going to enter the creace. He effectively tripped over Mrazeks outstretched pad as a result of being cut off into him

I'd be willing to bet that goal would have stood in the regular season, as we've certainly seen worse cases upheld

You're either high or have never played the game, watch it again hes pushed in hows he stopping there? No goal was fine but penalty was bad. You cant just stop on a dime on that situation and the canes player extends and pushes him into the net. Watch the video you can slow it and see
