Yeah I suppose the nuckles depth at center makes it a no brainer.

Too expensive as a future 4LC behind Pettersson/Horvat/Gaudette

How’s he as a winger?

There is no chance he will be moved. Every team wants a Kadri on their team and he is a steal. Doogie Dubas is young but he can’t be that stupid.

Ek talks to owners and GMs every day. He had dinner with Bettman.

Seems like a good topic, would you prefer to discuss how overrated Babcock is, or how dumb Dubas is, or how about how the Leafs choke year after year.

But one of the favourites out there is how great the Islanders are after Tavares tried to screw them over, obviously Tavares was the problem.

I think it would be a great story if the Isles won the Cup after getting nothing in return for Tavares. Even if they don't win it, I give them a ton of credit for the season they've had.

He's what every team needs, a scapegoat.

Sure, he's made some dumb decisions, but the number of people pinning the Leafs playoff woes on Kadri and saying things like he killed the team is ridiculous. Your team has much bigger issues if they're unable to win a playoff series because they lost their 3rd line centre.

Four or five suspensions for head hunting.

At least one suspension by his own team for personal behaviour.

Perennially tagged by the refs as a diving, whining, cheap-shot punk.

An easy mark for other teams looking to push him over the edge.

Not the influence I want on a young team. You can get sandpaper with less drama.

It would be epic, I'm rooting for the Isles.

This is a ridiculously stupid blog. Kadri is outperforming his contract and is way too valuable as a depth center who can move up the line up in case of injury. He's going nowhere. Toronto has other options to move which are much smarter before moving him.

Boston would like him to stay on the Leafs. They know they own him and can goad him into doing something stupid again. In fact every team in the league knows he can be coaxed into losing his head. That "great contract sits" on the sidelines each playoff season. Yet Toronto will keep him. Let someone else take the risk. Trade him but use his contract as the bargaining chip and demand high.

Not my point, it's in his title and was spelled wrong, until he fixed it. Still wrong throughout the blog. Double

Actually it is a good blog.

After watching Vegas loose the other night, the host of a TSN segment started off with "who do we blame" after 5 mins of criticizing Babcock it was agreed that Kadri was to blame.

It's out there man, accept it, it's all Kadri's fault, saw it on TSN so must be true.

So, only Marchand can change his ways and stop doing stupid things and getting suspended for it including in the playoffs?

Kadri shouldn't even be in the top 10 of names on this roster that should go. Not even in the top 5 of guys with actual value.

Exactly. The "experts" agree. A guy who wasn't even on the ice or making coaching decisions is to blame. By that logic, if he had been injured instead of suspended it would have still been his fault. Kadri is the third line center. Very little to do with why the Leafs lost. Morons at TSN and SN have been continually wrong. This isn't the first and won't be the last.

Edmonton? What could Edmonton possibly offer in a trade for Kadri?

Bouchard or this years 1st? I don’t think Edmonton offers either of these.

Jesse Puljijarvi? No way the Leafs so this.

It doesn’t matter if Hunter/DJ Smith join the Oilers, they have very little they can off up outside of their star players to fix that team.

And what team...wouldn't touch him... one has to wonder if that team is Carolina ? Would he ruin their changing culture ?

If the price and return was right, I can see him with either CAR, PIT or BOS next year.

Heh-heh Boston. Loses his mind trying to prove himself to Boston fans next year and cross-checks Marner in the head during the playoffs. Leaf fans continue to say he's just misunderstood and every team needs a guy like that. Rrriigghhtt.

This.

The Leafs need more Kadri, Hyman and Moore. Kadri is a value contract for them. We've also seen the center depth with him out of the lineup.

The Leafs biggest concerns this year are making sure Dubas doesn't try to resign Jake Gardiner at any number, seeing if there's a possibility to make a deal that will allow them to shed Marleau, look into the possibility of trading Nylander (not my first choice with his value at an all time low and I still believe...there's just not a huge fall from Nylander to Kapanen or Johnsson though) and see if there's a way to move Zaitsev's contract. Trading Johnsson is a reality too. They can't play/pay everyone and Kapanen would be my keep just because of versatility.

If you can't do any of those things, then maybe you explore a trade for Kadri.

If Kadri did that as a Bruin there would be no suspension. Probably not even a penalty.
