Rodrigues has been Buffalo's Swiss-army knife, or a Jack of all trades, or utility forward up front, but whatever way you cut it he's played his role admirably under two coaches. In his first full season with the Sabres, Rodrigues has nearly doubled the number of career games played while nearly doubling his career production as well and he continued an upward trend in average time on ice.
Let's shut this down after this wonderful comment you made, Michael. No one needs to criticize my boy. He is the speeeeeed

For all the hate they continually recieved...
Erod Larsson Girgs was a legit 4th line. They got broken up after the streak and never had a real opportunity to get back together, but during that streak they were absolutely lights out.
Spector has reports that PK Subban may be available. Now that is something I would look into. $9m for 3 more years. What would it take to get him? They are looking for forward help.

Call it a gut feeling, but I think this is their splash this summer. Something around Ristolainen+ and a bad contract going there way.
Letang made sense for several reasons but I think the NTC is a hold up.
Dahlin-Subban has the twin virtue of making the team better and selling a poop ton of tickets.

ERod is a 3 / 4 tweener.
At $0.665 he was a complete steel. At $3m he is overpaid.
I'd be more likely to go on a short-term deal at $1.5 - $2.0m.
Rather than pay him for his assumed growth leads him to, let's pay him for what he has done.
And rather than have him play 3rd, put him on the 4th where he can excel.
The 4th line with Girgs and Larry flipped the ice nicely. But 13 goals between them just isn't good enough. Let those two walk along with dumping Sobotka
4th of Smith, ERod, Okpiso could reel some havoc and up the production as well.
