After marrone jilted us, Rex was a logical pick. Brash, cocky. Seen as a real defensive guru.
And fans LOVED Rex when he first got here.
"Playoffs? Get ready, baby. We're going" - jcragcrumple
So they are naive then as well.
hey, I gave a GREAT idea...hear me out...you know that top 5 D, yes we are going to change the scheme so that 65% of the players don't fit anymore, if should only take us 3 and r 4 years to rebuild it into a top 10 D.
Thoughts? |

No accountability at the top for making all these poor choices. It was them who hired nearly all of them. But we want their underlings to be held accountable.
Got it. - IonSabres
What does accountability for the Pegulas look like? Change in ownership? Would a president of hockey ops make different decisions at the relevant times? |

they wanted housley
they wanted rex
they wanted disco sucks
your making my point
let someone who has been in the hockey and football business their entire lives buffer between the gm and the owners
trust your hockey and football vp who has experience
instead they hire who they want and 2 years later can them and repeat - homiedclown
I will agree they could use a hockey mind for a PoHO role. But all of their hires were seen in the respective sports communities as smart or logical choices

I liked the trade down by the Broncos yesterday.
Possibly getting the best tight end in the draft?
Nice move by elway and company
Mocks had the Bill's taking fant at 9 - Boss34
Yea we haven’t had a good TE since Julius Thomas and it was graded well by multiple people. I like it but with Chris Harris demanding a pay raise or trade it put a damper on my mood.
I think adding Oliver was great for the Bills defense. Pass Rusher is just as important as having a good QB these days. |

Funny, everyone wants the Pegulas to stay in their lane as owners. Patty got into a power struggle when he wanted to override the GM’s personnel decision (trade Miller) and not stay in his lane. Why isn’t Patty a bad guy just like the Pegulas. |

Per speculation why he was fired.
Non-disclosure says so.

there was a lot more to patty then this
his say didn't matter, so why stay in the position
didn't matter what the topic was, terry and kim shot down almost every suggestion in a split second that pat offered to help the sabres in the short and long term |

You know what I'm saying. All the people they've hired were seen as bright minds or solid figures in their world. If someone comes to me who is highly respected, and I give him unlimited resources to succeed, but he fails, is that my fault?
Yeah, Murray sucked, but he was seen as a "hockey guy's hockey guy."
I don't get it man. They've given people the tools to succeed. Those highly thought of people have let them down. I hope they get this coach right |

Hard to believe it could be worse, Jesus, they are the laughing stock of the NHL.
I can even listen to NHL radio on XM anymore, they speculate no one of any consequence wants that job, and today it was speculated they are rumored to be considering a College coach after McClellan did even talk to them.
Loved Kimmie's fortitude to stay at 9 and wait for Eddy boy to fall to them.

No I don't actually. There really isn't any evidence to suggest there should be trust.
But IF they stumble on a good one, it does provide insulation from this constant circle jerk they have created. |

No dysfunction in Buffalo
"I think if you ask anybody in our organization, they will tell you that we are around. We communicate. We collaborate. We are engaged with what's going on. As owners, I think that gives us good insight into what's going on in our organization and what's working and what's not. We're not absentee owners."
"I know how I run my life, run our business," he said. "I know how we treat people, and I know the people we have in our organization.
We've been around for X-number of years. There's no foundation, no truth to this dysfunctional talk. I consider it an insult to our organization and the Bills and the good people with the Sabres. They can't be real happy to hear that."

yet they had no clue of all the harassment?

It’s infuriating this (frank)in loser is still the GM. Totally (frank)ed the team up beyond recognition. He is such a little fraidy cat female dog. His fanboys on here remind me of him. |
