With Bo being RH i rather a top LW for him.
Leave Boeser with LH EP.
With JB wanting a top 6 RW i’ve difficulty on the who & the fit. The 3rd wheel is important to make both lines fully gel & be dangerous for a 1-2 punch. As for Gaudette he is a wildcard atm & i’m not sure what he needs yet. Maybe a play driver with top speed & skill.
On D overall we need much better skating skating & passing. Grit would be nice but if play smart would counter thst. |

Assuming we have a healthier Sven he could swing up & down the top 9 & be effective. That is a tough call to expect him healthy but would create much needed scoring depth. It helps that JV can play either wing but he’s gotta bring it to a new level & be consistent. |

I fully expect the 4th line to be high energy with Motte Beagle McEwen & a healthy Roussel to be around. |

I’d like to see Leivo be a poor mans Stone.
Granlund is replaceable as a Swiss army knife. |

That’s fine then option B is IF we can somehow get another 1st. If not nothing is lost. |

Working on the premise we managed to get another 1st would it be for a F or RHD?
Depends on who fell or what we give & who the JB’s covet. Like i said IF & doesn’t happen then look to the 2021 draft where its a deeper better draft. |

Our cap space has to be a priority this year & beyond. Weaponize it wisely or save for another day. As the next e-draft nears it will be more & more a big factor. |

Contracts like LE & Beagle could be e-draft type assets for teams in trouble for the e-draft. Could even see them as TDL pawns. |

By the time the 2021 e-draft happens we should be a pretty good team with many ELC’s & prospects making it or busts. In the meantime we stay the course keeping on drafting & developing & UFA’s become less & less a tool for our rebuild. |

I hope people are smart enough to know that putting a scoring winger on Bo’s wing doesn’t mean that player will remain scoring winger... You optimize lines by playing compatible players together. Bo needs north/south wingers who are going to get after it in all 3 zones. They’ll need to create offense by driving the net & getting greasy.
Madden is a future winger for Bo. Rees would be a great winger for Bo. Don’t ruin a finesse guy by expecting him to add an element to Bo’s line when it won’t mesh. - DrChristianTroy
I'm sure the Canucks Hockey minds can figure it out.

I fully expect us taking a winger in the draft. BPA is shaping up most likely just that way as rankings are starting to form up. RHD are a reach imo. I want RHD most but at 10th i’m with the BPA crowd. |

Somehow some way we need to stockpile RHD. Once or if that can get done then we’ve the depth & assets for big improvement or moves.
FYI i’m loading up the blog pages 😂👍 |

A good time for big moves if the cap in great shape. Some team(s) will be in trouble & so much depends on how good we are constructed at that time. |
