I expected 15/15 out of him this past season. He was just shy of that. I was still disappointed. He needs to carry the puck more. He is too eager to pass. He needs to slow the game down and read the play a little better.

I expect 20/20 out of him this season.

He will finish with 18/17 unless he takes that next step

Depends on his wingers. If we get an actual 2RW, or if Reinhart is with him all year, he'll do better than that. I think yours is a solid guess with the roster as constructed

I edited a little at the end. Of course it's dependent on a few factors but I'm not setting my standards high after the past few seasons.

Kim probably hasn’t had time to focus on an NHL coach. I think she might start turning her attention to the other team now that the draft is complete. Not much time, though. I assume the OTAs start soon so she'll need to switch focus back to that soon. It’s tough running two teams.

I'm still liking the Tampa trade partner for Risto. If they could get Cirelli and Gourde (probs have to take Callahan), I would be a pretty happy man. That, and somehow pulling off a Trouba trade is probably too much to ask, but it would be a decent team if it were possible

Or can you get Trouba and Ehlers for Risto ++ (the plus not being Reinhart, as that would be a lateral move)

Okay, that was the first pick I didn't like. Other than that, really happy with where they went in rounds 1-3.

Yeah, I'd have to agree.

And reading a couple scouting reports on him, he's got a LOT of work to do. Guess that's what you get at this stage. They're hoping for the next Milano, perhaps?

No, this was the coach's pick 100% I think.

They really should have went TE or S over LB.

Next pick will be a CB, calling it now.

Has size, plays physical, scores goals, shut down Crosby effectively in the first round, and won’t break the bank like Duchene/Hayes.

4 out of his 6 seasons in the league he’s scored 20+ goals. One of those seasons also included a 19 goal season.

Is 5/$30 a reasonable guess?

That's overpaid, but I can live with it

- jcragcrumple

For a 27 yr old that averages around 45 points and looks to be a third liner? Yeah. Imo let someone else pay him
