I could see edmonton/la going D. I dont think York cracks the top 10. This is pretty close to the same names i have though |

It will depends who he skates with. If it’s hirshier/hughes/hall (triple H line) he will get more imo. I think he’s my calder fave, their powerplay needs him. I do like heponiemi coming into florida with coach q though |

He and soderstrom may both go top 10. Both will go top 15. Outside of Byram, they are the class of the draft. If you were watching this gold medal game you would see why. - neem55
I never mentioned Soderstrom - who i dont really want but would prefer to Broberg. You might be right they might both go top 10, I doubt it. I did watch the game and most of the tourney and it certainly doesn't change the fact I don't want him at 10. I think in a stronger draft class he would be a mid to late 1st but this D class is weak and that's why he might go higher. Either way I dont see us taking him. |

I think he plays well in both ends. Passes well and has a very good shot. He is physical . He is 17 years old and will be a top 4 Dman . He plays both sides RHD and LHD .
I have seen him play now in two tournaments and have nothing negative to say.
Everyone can have an opinion but to say he is a bad top 10 pick does not sit with me. There is no way I think the 9 th best forward is better than the second best Dman .
Hearing fans say BPA really need to rethink what they are getting at because there is no way the 9 th best forward is better. IMO

I think signing Justin Williams and firing Peters was big for them. |

I like teams that break the norm. They have been active the last two summers making changes . St Louis this year and even Calgary and Montreal. I hope Benning pays attention

Look I don't like him and neither you or Neem are gonna convince me otherwise. I respect and agree with you/r opinions often but he's one that we/many are divided on. Ive seen him play as much as you and i've seen him ranked all over the board - from 8th to 33rd and to me he's not the 2nd best Dman, nor does it mean the 9th best forward is a worse pick.
Personally, Id rather one of the American kids at 10 and choose D in the 2nd BUT
If we do take D i'd rather Soderstrom as a RHD, great skater, higher ceiling and he's already spent a year in SHL.

Fully agree with everything here but even Soderstrom went from a player I’d be OK with to I’d prefer to pass on due to the concussion but still 100% prefer him, York and Seider over Broberg |

You keep saying this but he is not the consensus 2nd best dman. Hell there is no consensus 2nd best dman which is concerning. Could be York - Soderstrom - Broberg - Seider or Harley. Not good |

I agree it could be any of them . Canucks scouting will determine which one they like best. The other side is there is no consensus that he is not the second best. Buttons and the other host Dave Reid seem to think he is the second best. |
