Well green did say some changes would happen. Some players wouldn't be back.
Panarin would definitely greatly upgrade the team. Who knows maybe even gets LE to produce??
I dont want to OS because of the draft picks we'd lose - SMBDragon

I feel like he still does have a little more then what we have seen. Maybe not a lot but enough that people will occasionally forget where he was drafted. - manvanfan
Nyi gave up on bertuzzi. Over the next few years he became 1 of the best in the league. Think he was 2nd in league scoring 1 year.
Van gave up on newly and we saw how that worked out.
Patience is needed with power forwards.

Do we really want anything that's played for the leads? We want players who win |

I really wonder if he'd sign that low but it's worth a shot. On the negative side, JB seems to be building a good business relationship with TO. Even if KD is ok with it... Shanny may not take it so well.
I'd be surprised if some other team willing to compensate additional didnt offer more as well.

Neely did score almost twice as much as JV did in junior and Bert was a 23 pick. I don't think anyone would complain about JV as a 23rd pick. Even right now. He's better than Gaunce, Jensen, Shinkaruk but not as good as Boeser or Pastrnak. |

I am looking for a Sunday evening fight, where do you rank my boy Lavoie? |

Their game is not comparable. Finesse vs power forward
Jv is a way better skater than boeser and way faster |

Nowhere near where you do
He is on my draft board though.
I omit players I don't like all together and don't think will be NHL players or players that won't fit with the Canucks. Examples, Kaliyev, Suzuki, all Finnish defenders. |

JV was also drafted way higher and sucks compared to Boeser. I wasn't comparing playing styles. I was comparing draft position. |

The point was how can you call 1 player better when they play an entirely different game. |

Because not all power forwards are drafted at 6oa. |

If you had it your way Van would have taken Jusso Vilamaki instead of Pettersson. |

I would just treat JV like we did Bennett ...both probably will not live up to their draft position ...but Bennett has become a very useful player ...fights hits and can actually produce in the playoffs ...JV much like Bennett has poop trade value so just keep him and convince him to play a role ...I could see him being a more offensive less dirty raffi Torres once the canucks are regulars in the playoffs |

Right. His speed is very important to the team
If used right (center upper half close to blue line) he could be a big asset on the pk |

Kids got speed size and skill ...just doesn’t think the game at nhl level ...doesn’t mean he can’t try and crush guys and pot in 20 goals |
