Neither the Battle of the Bastards or Sunday nights battle compare to the epic battle of trying to drive around today with all the crazy volunteers trying to sell Kids Day newspapers. - kritter65

Good article by Scott Wheeler on The Athletic about his NHL prospects scouting process and system to evaluate players. I thought it was very well done and can't wait for his Top 100 Rankings coming out next week.
Good read. - IonSabres
I assume his entire system is based solely on +/-
It's all I need to know about a player. |

For sure. Ageless Wonder offers elements that no other RB on the team can offer. He may very well make Pat DiMarco expendable. - TheSabresTaco
Your point about leadership is very strong, maybe ranked #1 reason. |

The way I see it, if they think so highly of him, why do you go get Yeldon nd draft a RB that high??
UNLESS...they let Shady go...I could kinda see that happening..his skills have eroded to the extent that he is no longer worth the headache that comes with him. |

That and he assigned a value for xFO's ...even for goalies and Dmen.
Quite useful. |

I'd be happy to answer your questions. I won't be watching Endgame until Friday, but I am super excited about it.
I would hold off until maybe Thursday or Friday to really start discussing plot points, as to not ruin it for others too soon. - TheSabresTaco
is there any gratuitous nudity? thats really the only reason to watch movies |

I mean, I see the purpose of bringing in a youthful RB. But the Yeldon signing just makes you think.
And ya know, for how productive he was last season with the Jags catching balls out of the backfield, I wonder why he lasted so long on the wire?
You've got 4 legitimate RBs now, and a few more designated for STs. Marcus Murphy is now in no man's land. Singletary was drafted too high to cut in year 1. Just a peculiar situation. |

Yuck. I absolutely avoid those volunteers on Kids Day (in fact, every year sine 1987 I've placed an old folded up newspaper on my dash and point to it when I'm approached. Does that make me despicable ? I guess it does !). The volunteers are dangerous ! Hopefully, nobody ever gets hit by a car - there really needs to be more safety precautions taken for this yearly event.

The show as a whole has its fair share of nudity, yes.
Avengers... does not. |

Yeah that's a major point. IMO... I feel this is a bigger issue in hockey than it is football. Especially if you're not including QBs and WRs in the discussion.
But we do have new receivers, and all new linemen that need to learn the playbook. Say what you want about culture and drive, but the optics say this team has it in droves. And that helps push the unit as a whole to gel and to outwork each other. There may indeed be bumps in the road, but as a whole, when you're fielding better, smarter, driven football players, the types of players this org goes after, you're inevitably getting a better product.
I enjoy reading the All 22's that Joe B and Cover 1 do. I'm looking forward to comparing grades from last year for the front 5. Even moreso, I'm looking forward to Josh Allen having more than 3 seconds in the pocket. - TheSabresTaco
I had to look this up, because I thought 3 seconds was actually pretty long.
At a quick glance, most of the good QB's seem to throw the ball within 2.60 to 2.75 seconds from the snap of the ball.
Interestingly enough Josh Allen took the longest at 3.22 , with only Lamar Jackson, Patrick Mahomes and Russel Wilson taking over 3.
I would guess that the addition time was due to scrambles.
In Josh's case, I think it was due to a scrambling for his life rather than by design (for the most part). |

I'm telling you his expected face-off percentage was out of control high, which dramatically increased the combined value with +/-.
Points mean nothing...it is all about the face-offs. |

OMG, I am all for Charity and donate my fair share all year long to different things but the Kids day thing is ridiculous. it is a blessing that those people don't get hit by a car. they stand out in the middle of major roads with cars zipping by them doing 50+ MPH all to sell a $1.00 paper. there has to be a better safer way... |

So Todd Richards is the latest to be rumored as a candidate for Sabres HC.
Served as Asst in Tampa, and held HC positions in AHL, Minnesota Wild and Columbus In the NHL.
While he has experience with a fast paced, north/south system in Tampa, his resume as HC is not whelming... neither over nor under. He does have quite a number of early exits in playoff series.
Should be a perfect fit. |

They really should schedule it for February...you know when there is a good chance of snow and/or ice covered roads.
Think of the entertainment value. |

You get the other running backs for depth. They signed Gore day 1 of free agency I would hope they have a plan. Singletary is a lock - if I had to guess I'd say Gore is more likely to be here than McCoy or Yeldon |

Lance Lysowski, piggybacking off of Wawrow from a week or two ago, says "A source told me the Sabres and Jeff Skinner continue to have 'positive' contract talks. No significant developments, but it's too soon for fans to panic. Both sides are still interested in getting a deal done." |
