Joe B's take on the RBs.
Biggest Strength: Power in numbers
- After having a steep drop-off in production from 2017 to 2018, the running back roster is almost entirely different from what we witnessed last season. Primary backup Chris Ivory was released, and the Bills signed two free agents (Frank Gore, TJ Yeldon) that could factor into the carries equation. And finally, at long last, the Bills drafted a running back (Devin Singletary) for the first time since 2016. The Bills have been trying to get by with a combination of LeSean McCoy and just making it up as they go along, but the team invested in youth at the position to get with the times of the NFL. McCoy returns, and with four suitable running backs available for carries, the Bills have all the makings to become more like a New England style of the backfield -- a committee approach that features different players based solely on the game plan. It's what offensive coordinator Brian Daboll has grown accustomed to in his time in the NFL, and it could be set up that way for Buffalo in 2019
It sucks for fantasy, but that style worked out great for them, deploying different types of RBs to wreck the opposition's game plans. |

The story hasn't faltered since day 1. There's "mutual interest". That's more than anyone can say about Bread N Bob - TheSabresTaco
Just because a gm has nothing to say, so he says" we have mutual interest "
How much better is that, then a player focusing on the playoffs and playing well? Dushane
These guys say what we want to hear- actually
More like: they said what YOU want to hear |

7 x 10 ? - Boss34
That's crazy money. I'd rather go 5 years/$30m on Hayes |

Is that 7M x 10 or 7 by 10M? - JVince11
Under the cba , I think the max ufa contract is 7 years.
8 if the player is on your team
If skinner is looking at 9, I would think dushane is looking at more then that total.
Basically eichel $ |

the bigger thing is fixing the o line
doesn't matter who is in the backfield, they fix the line then they will probably be a fringe top 10 offense if allen progresses
of course if they keep shady, they need to dress 4 hb's |

The Pats can suck my ass, but they dressed 4 RBs to play offense last season. Patterson played downs and ST. I'd say 3 would be perfect, but if 4's the way you do it... welp.. go for it. |

So I'm "probably not" right because Jason Botterill, numerous qualified media sources and Jeff Skinner's agent have all repeatedly said there's mutual interest in getting a contract done. Alrite. |

Yep, even as a winger he'd get more than 4. Now include play driving, his possession metrics, faceoff ability and 200' play. And you're looking at 6.5-7.5. It's a tough pill to swallow at 7.5, but... FA. |

Yes he’s at level of a drew Stafford when he was “good” to “average “ he doesn’t deserve 7m or 6m the rangers knew it that’s why they shipped him out . He’s just going to be Another player that gets overpaid because of the “center” word |

That boat anchor would be the 4th best forward on this team by a pretty sizeable margin. These things are relative |

Cool let him be a 6m player somewhere else
If he wanted 4.5 he can come here and center the 3rd line but some team will pay him like he’s a 2nd line or 1st center |

I just don't see any of the big name UFA's having interest in Buffalo. And Dzingel played college hockey at Ohio State so gotta think he'll want to sign there. Columbus will want Duchene if they lose Panarin.
I would rather see us trade for a 2C. - mhp
Not that Dzingel is a guy I would be targeting, but in Columbus he is getting 4th line minutes and in game 1 and 3 of this series he had the least ice time of all CBus skaters. Game 2 he was a healthy scratch.
Not so sure he'd be interested in signing long term there. May not be a Torts kind of player. |

The reality of this league is that centers are paid more than their peers on the wings. A 60 point center will probably get paid more 95% of the time than a 60 point W. Especially if both players are equally as reliable in both ends. |
