Does anyone else notice how bad the ice conditions are? Looks like they are playing with a tennis ball. Puck is just bouncing around on everyone, hard to pick up a pass. Every time someone has a legitimate scoring chance developing the puck bounces off a stick. |

I was wondering about that in the first round...weird. |

Honestly, the punch is not that big of a deal. Happens all the time in scrums.
The part that is disgusting is that he took a cheap shot then immediately skated away like the coward that he is. Give a guy a shot, but be a man about it. Maybe he gets up and slugs you and your team gets a power play out of it. The retaliation gets called more often than not. |

Marchand has dirty pictures on the DOPS and Gary Buttman. No discipline just tells him " . . . sure, no problem . . . keep it up !!"
Also disgusting is that The Rat once again attacks from behind - doesn't do it face-to-face.
It's really sad that all that skill is wasted on such an A-hole !! |

I thought it was obviously stupid and unnecessary but is it really any worse than a player jabbing and clawing at someones face when the ref is between them? Because that happens about 50 times a night in the nhl.
Overall, its just a dumb and disrespectful jab. Certainly not needed. Fine is plenty.
The forward group needs to wake up.

this X1000.. I watched the replay, he looks around to see f the Ref's are looking and gives him a whack to the back of the head and quickly skates away. Such a Richard move. I get that he plays on the edge but he really don't have to play that way. JFC he is a important piece of that team and a 100 point player.. But all people see is the crappy low life cowardly things he does to his peers.. its a shame.......

I agree with most of this, but when you do give someone a snuff/sucker punch from behind it is really not in the same conversation as a scrum...
i just don't get why he feels the need to do that type of stuff.. he is obviously very talented, you can play on the edge and still play within the rules..

I'm with Fred from T&R on this one. Bench Pastrnak. He's been a (frank)ing disgrace. |

Its just a comment. The puck is bouncing on both teams. Settle down buddy! Do you want some credit. Yes the BlueJackets are playing well, team looks really good. |

I’d rather he rabbit punched someone like the Sedins. This was dumb.
It is pretty harmless. What I don’t like about it is now Marchand has a target from the refs. Just like game 2, he was a target and gets a bush league cross checking call at intermission.
Special Teams have been the difference in this series and the refs aren’t helping. Nice call on the trips last night. Panarin and Anderson both fall on their own and Bruins get whistled for trips. Be better officials! - Tachmo

You're not complaining about officiating... Are you?
Seriously? |

I don't care who it is. Just want to see someone grab him by the head and just violently jam his tongue into Marchand's mouth. |

This....
Happens a lot, just usually not that obvious, Marchy needs to apply a bit of subtlety to his game. |

Come on now, this line of reasoning is just bad.
Are you saying you believe that a facewash in a scrum should be a minimum 5 minute penalty and more likely a suspendable offense? I mean, that's technically hitting someone's head, right? |

a faceWASH is not a hit from behind to the head. Your reasoning is worse. |

He's a POS. The only way he's going to get the message is if somebody beats him to a bloody pulp. Probably not gonna happen in the playoffs, but I eagerly await that day... |

The form of gamesmanship I like most will be when I get to see the look on Marchand's face in the handshake line after losing the series to CBJ. That, will be some gamesmanship. |
