Dude, there's a difference between walking the line and continuously going over it and not having any repercussions. That's what Marchand does. Always has.

At minimum he should've been fined for this because he does have a history and it absolutely has to be on record because he's 100% gonna do something stupid again and has earned a suspension.

He's also a media guy now and someone that knows how to manipulate dumb fans so they talk about his hot takes. I don't doubt he sometimes provides interesting information that some of the other media guys can't give us, but sometimes I think he's just stirring the pot like all the others because that's basically his (frank)ing job.

Nah. That's never been his MO. He's always been honest to a fault. And he knows as well as anybody that if he's anything other than honest, he'll just be cutting into his own credibility.

Because if he admitted he'd made a mistake it would've looked even worse for him at the time and it also would've put even more trouble on Kessel by admitting he wasn't worth what Burke gave up to get him. So he said what he needed to say, rather than the truth, which he apparently has said recently, that it was a mistake.
