He's been a lawyer, an agent, a GM, an NHL employee and he's a dual citizen. If he's talking about taxes, he probably knows how the players think, act and decide by now.

... and still sour the Leafs dumped him. Move on from this flake.

There's definitely been too many penalties called. It's helping the Marlies but it's ruining the flow of the game.

Most I thought were good calls, though.

So that's one example versus the hundreds of others of him just being honest.
- JohnFergusonJr

You were basically suggesting he only tells the truth on t.v. I pointed out clear examples where he was telling pure bullpoop.

I don't need hundreds of examples. The point is, he'll bullpoop when it's convenient/necessary to be better/more effective at his job.

Also, if we can notice a few examples where he was selling us bullpoop, how many times has he done it that we didn't catch?

Each team is 50% on power play tonight, good thing is the Marlies had more of them.

It's called critical thinking bud. Don't just believe everything you hear/read.
Think about and call bullpoop when you think something is bullpoop. If you don't do this, you're just a naive child believing everything anyone ever tells you.
Sure, sometimes maybe you're ruled by what you want to believe. If you're aware of this though, you can take steps to avoid that pitfall.

You go on believing everything Burke says like it's gospel if that's how you wanna roll.

The earth is flat. Vaccines caused WWII. Matthews is a lazy choke artist. Muzzin is an overpaid 3rd pairing d-man. HOHO2020.

Hopefully they can stay out of box, usually not allowing many PP opportunities in playoffs. Keefe instils good discipline when it most needed.
Kas was very good in the first round, but not sure he can keep it up for long enough.

Welp. Didn't take long. Was a pretty obvious dive, though.

And I agree completely with that.

His play in the 1st round was the best hes ever played and it'd be hard for him to keep it up.

He bullpoopted at times even when he was our gm.

Like defending the Kessel trade and saying he'd do it again after all the draft picks were done and we all knew it had been a bad trade. Why? Because if he admitted he'd made a mistake it would've looked even worse for him at the time and it also would've put even more trouble on Kessel by admitting he wasn't worth what Burke gave up to get him. So he said what he needed to say, rather than the truth, which he apparently has said recently, that it was a mistake.

Lots of times he said bullpoop because it was the smart thing for him to do. He isn't always "honest to a fault".

- Thecakeisalie

Or when he threw Allaire under the bus. Burke's a loudmouth so some people think that means he's telling it like it is. Kind of like Trump. Bluster goes a long way, doesn't mean the signal to noise ratio is good.
