Contrary to media reports, I have not contacted Jim Rutherford about acquiring Evgeni Malkin and have no plans to do so.

A 47 min podcast on Sportsnet titled all about Brock Boeser has literally 2 min of Boeser talk. The rest of it is hype over speculations.

- boonerbuck

The other 45 mins were Sportnet talking about the 2026 Blue Jays and Leafs preview?

My god
Dallas is actually considering resigning Matts Zucarello

The most costly resigning in history potentially.

I was thinking late 70's, early 80's, my first TV in 78 was a 20" Electrohome colour TV, with 13 channels on a dial....yup I actually had to get up and manually change the channel...the tough times back then would make millennial's cringe.
- Makita

The millennials would stare at the dial for a moment then try and press the numbers like they were buttons. I witnessed this watching one try to use a dial phone.

I had a millennial ask me between a nickle & a quarter, which one was the quarter. She was a cashier.

You should have got her to give you 5 quarters for a nickle.

I was walking across our company property and there was a really cute young lady that I have never met looking distraught. I asked what was wrong and she held up a key fob and said the company vehicle wouldn't open.

So I said try the key, she said I am as she kept pressing the button, so I took the key fob and opened the door for her with the key dangling from the fob, I later learned that she had been recently hired as an electrical engineer...no lie, can't make this stuff up

To be honest, there have been a number of times I’ve waves my hands under a bathroom faucet thinking that it was a motion sensor.... then realizing I actually have to use the taps.

I was born in 87, so one of the last few years to remember a pre-computer/digital world.

Shorthouse, Taylor, Bmac, Randorf, and a bunch of others. Great line up.

SportsPage was the best because they had great local talent, both anchors and production, covering the local teams. Insight, humour, and content tailored to their audience. Their Christmas and New Year's shows were indeed wonderful. The crap programming and coverage we get now from Toronto is an insult by comparison.

Randorf was even good when he was at The Page. Then he went to Toronto and his ego exploded working for TSN. He's a terrible play-by-play guy. The thought of him partnered up with Pierre McGuire and Cassie Campbell or that other woman they had on last night is terrifying.

I don't know much about the state of most of the teams in the WHL, is Calgary expected to compete for/win the championship next year?

They usually seem competitive. I really don't know much about them.
