I don't know that I've ever watched Broberg but I promise you Woo is... well, he's physical in the same way PK Subban is physical, I guess. - BINGO!

Amen - VANTEL
It’s all subjective. But the idea is for the team to draft who they believe the best prospect is, regardless of its a winger, Center, dman.

yeah.
1st round was awesome.
Now i'd like to see CBJ and SJS move on.
Not interested in the other 6 teams. - dbot
Me too, I’m hoping for a CBJ vs SJS final, with Joe Thornton winning his first Cup. Anybody but Boston! |

Give me York over either of them if Benning is set on taking a dman
I don’t see what makes Broberg better than Jett Woo so I don’t understand taking him at 10 - Nucker101
I think Broberg is a mirror image of Edler who was Canucks best Dman in their 50 years.
I would easily take another 15 years of that type of D . He also can play both sides which is even more valuable. |

Agreed
He’s just trying to come up with creative ideas to improve the team he loves - Nucker101
He is out in left field like all of us now and then but I always have time for him.

Benning still leaves me a bit uneasy in this regard, sure the last couple years have went well, Pettersson’s arguably the best forward in his draft year and Q. Hughes MAY be a top six player in his draft year but Virtanen and Juolevi are stuck in my head. |

I have been saying all year how I feel about this draft. I still think there will only be 5 or 6 very good forwards that will be an impact and none of them will be available at #10.
I feel very very strong about a Dman . So now time to wait and see.

Yeah, i dunno.
I thought Broberg had some better wheels and speed than Woo? - dbot
His potential ceiling projects higher... both skate well.
Sodderstrom is projected a safer pick than Broberg. Higher floor... maybe lower ceiling. The opinions vary. York may be better.

What do you like about them? (besides sticking it to Flames fans) - dbot
I don’t think too many flames fan are too upset with that trade lol

Really?
I figured there'd be some regrets there.
The team you made a major trade with is going to the Conference finals, while your team is out in 5 games.

It is . He would have been a very good a second pairing. Hopefully Hughes can change that. |

Of the players I’ve been old enough to see, Ohlund is still tops for me

I don’t think he’s the best in Canuck history, he just has longevity on his side regarding his numbers. More talented defensemen have played for the team. |

For those who remember that far back ( Vantel, Makita, Ye oldtimer etc) Paul Reinhart was the most gifted. |
