No room for those two... Malkin.

I will get things going in here

Malkin would be awesome but won't happen. Unless Benning gives up a first OJ and Madden.

how about Gaudette, JV, Hutton,a 2020 1st and a conditional 2021 1st dependent of playoff success , like if we make the conference finals in the next 2 yrs , otherwise it becomes a 3rd

Add a little extra and get Kessel in the deal. Sure, he’s getting $7M this coming season, but his cap hit is only $6.8M so it’s a steal especially considering how well he plays with Malkin.

The guy is still one of the best centers in the game, they’d never give him up for three fringe NHL’ers lol, it wouldn’t be worth the cost.

You think teams would give up a top 10 pick ,a 24 yr old a 60 point center Horvat with a great contract, and two young players?

I don't see anyone giving up that much.

Horvat 24 yrs old 60 pts 5.5 mil

Malking 32 yrs old 71 pts 9.5 mil

Someone would, they always do, I wouldn’t though. It’ll be a more contender ready team with lots of assets. Like Carolina or Philadelphia.

In regards to unmovable contracts, has anyone taken a look at Kessel’s?

His agent got the signing bonus applied to the last two years of his contract. Kessel only gets $1M per on the last two years but each year has a $5M signing bonus applied. Over the next three years he’s going to make $19M.

What GM will trade for that?

I don’t think Pittsburgh would trade Malkin to Philly but they have the assets to get it done. 1st, Patrick and two prospects kinda deal.

They all do. Stress and that toxic popcorn they chow down on while watching the game.
