Panarin won't happen and I am not a fan of Myers . Would like Duchene

Colorado could give up the 4th overall and Jost + + for Malkin?

Much a do about nothing probably, MacKinnon/Malkin pretty good centers for Sakic though.

WOW a 32 yr old who has never had to be "the man" with 3 yrs at 9.5 mil left, the return won't be as high as you think

I could see Colorado saying Jost and their first but not Ottawa's first

He’s been the man plenty, especially in the playoffs, Conn Smythe, Art Ross, Hart, Ted Lindsay, Calder, etc. etc.

I just don’t see them trading him unless the return was great. Even at 32 he put up good numbers this year, 72 points in 68 games, I think 41 goals 98 points the year before.

i just don't see them wanting to disrupt it being MacKinnons team by bringing in a front line ageing centre

just for fun , imagine what TO could get if they sent Mattews to Arizona and then brought in Malkin

Botchford said the only other player the Canucks considered at #5 in 2017 was Maker, damn that kids good.

I mean, he’s actually played better when Crosby was injured according to Pens fans so I think he’d be just fine “as the guy” but issue is that he’s on the decline and has a history of injuries to boot

I wouldn’t buy too much into the Ek rumour, he’d been banging the trade Malkin drum for years

I wonder how many Hughes will have next year?

Really?

I figured there'd be some regrets there.
The team you made a major trade with is going to the Conference finals, while your team is out in 5 games.

They changed their goalies, added several new forwards through draft, development, and trades, added a d man, changed coaches ...there are a lot of reasons why the canes are where they are

If you think it’s solely from the flames trade then I may have to rethink your hockey IQ 😉 lol

Imagine if they sign Duchene and then draft his linemate with Ottawa’s pick lol

In the playoffs? I’ll wager less than five. I’d say 5 less

Let’s speculate that the team makes a run at a few of the names being thrown around. Watching these playoffs do you think our players with the addition of Malkin and Subban could physically compete in the Western Conference?

It’s a honest question to see what people think. Not an endorsement of Malkin and/or Subban, insert any name you want.

After trading for Malkin and Subban, you won’t have at least one of Horvat, Hughes or Boeser, possibly not even 2 of them.
