Everyone seems to be forgetting the part where malkin would want to go play somewhere he'd be the #1 C. That's not the case in Van |

Nyi, Carolina, columbus and calgary all make more sense. Kind of depends on where he wants to go really |

After trading for Malkin and Subban, you won’t have at least one of Horvat, Hughes or Boeser, possibly not even 2 of them. - Nucker101
Ok not well thought out names, let’s go with Panarin and Karlsson.
I was more referring to Boeser, Pettersson, Hughes competing in the physical Western Conference with 2 big name stars. |

I can't see him wanting to go west, he's too soft. NYI or Carolina make sense |

Malkin would be your 1C for the rest of his contract and could be a good mentor for EP |

Jake has got their backs. Sutter would too but he’s injured. |

I love EP, but he would not be the 1LC over Geno right now |

I disagree. He might make it through 1 or 2 years as the 1C, but that would be it imo. I see Peteys numbers rising for the next 3 years and were Malkin to play for the Canucks his points would drop |

That is possible
You do realize it’s also possible that genie out points Petey all 3 years...he just had s 70 point year and in his exit meeting said he was not good enough this year and will be better next year ...I really like Petey but he is still just a rookie ...he has to grow into his frame |

Malkin was also playing behind Crosby, in the less physical conference, with Kessel on his line all year.
I doubt he plays to the same standards in Vancouver, just saying. Petey is certainly not at his level yet, but i think he will be sooner rather than later. |

Lol nice. Despite his stats I’ve never wanted Dougie. And you are right, Quinn is a lot tougher |

I doubt Malkin would waive anyways but I think if you could get Petey away from top pairing D while learning from him it would be so good for him
If anything the assets you’d have to give up would be too costly at this point |

The Canucks should only be interested in trading for players/prospects/picks that fit the timeline of their core. 27 years old max and even that's pushing it. |

At least not a guy who would cost so much through trade either |

LE on Green:
”The coach and I don’t really get on 100 per cent,” he acknowledged about his relationship with Travis Green. “It is difficult when I do not get the same trust that I received from all the other coaches I had during my career. Of course it is tough on that front.”
From a Province article. Says he likes Canada and the West Coast, wants to keep playing, hard with the lack of ice time, etc etc. He scored two goals against Russia the other day. Maybe they can convince him to waive his NTC and ship him off? |
