We seem to max out of blame at 3 people.
Nonis and Burkie are now off the hook.
Hmmmm...someone should start a rumor of Burke being considered for role of Pres. - dbot
I would take that in a second over Gillis! |

i read on this website https://bit.ly/2Lcplrk that it was a fact that the canucks would have made the playoffs with less injuries.
can't argue with facts and scientific analysis. - RealityChecker
Injuries ruined my prediction of making the playoffs. |

No it didn't. Lack of scoring depth and porous defense (frank)ed your prediction.

I know that but it did contribute. Defence was a dumpster fire. |

Lucic and Subban? Why is there so many rumours about canucks going after aged stars on the decline? It's frustrating. |

Subban was at the 2016 draft, he was pretty much in his prime then so I don’t think you can say he was declining
Lucic meanwhile was at the tail end of his prime |

why? it's a mix of off-season combined with a large hockey market that needs new information (during a time when there really generally isn't any). add in the fact that the team has made some questionable decisions in the past and you can make up, recycle or just tell the truth about any rumour. the more ludicrous the better.
at the end of the day, it's comes down to: that is a stupidly insane rumour.... but then again we're talking about.... |

Of course, but it's a matter of fact in the NHL that a franchise will have to deal with injuries over the course of a season. It doesn't matter how many sleep doctors or training gurus you have on payroll; the only way to mitigate the impact of injuries is roster depth.
If you are a canuck GM, you better know the history/stats on injuries and impacts, so it's imperative to have the horses in the stable to deal with it no matter where you are in the rebuild.
The funny thing about this past season was that we were a bad team with a poopy roster and we didn't even have the depth to replace that. How is replacing poop with poop difficult? |

Oh, ok. I see so much crap on here that I thought there was a rumour that PK was a target this season. I did read an article that said he might be available after this years playoff failure. |

Is... is Lucic being traded to the Canucks? - BINGO!
They talked about this through out the year.
I believe it was Eriksson for Lucic straight up. Which surprisingly is terrible for Vancouver or more specifically Aqualini who pays essentially $6 million more |

On the plus side, if we trade a first for an old player the whole fanbase will be on the same side for once. harmony |

I heard the breaking news this morning while driving. Satiar Shah had a very hard time delivery the awful news, that was obvious. A young man with a young family, so desperately sad. I feel so much sympathy for his family, his friends & his colleagues. |
