Ristolainen, Montour, Sheary, Olofson and the 7OA for McDavid, Lucic and a 2nd. - Wildschwein
No way would I take that deal. As Bone mentioned, I'd want a center coming back as well. |

We still get to watch them rather than a team full of Horcoffs, Moreaus and Coglianos? - MaximumBone
That is true enough. Though sometimes watching all that talent being wasted is harder than not watching it at all. |

IDK about you guys, but I really liked that deal with DET that came up in the last blog.
McD for Larkin, Zadina, Mantha, Hronek, and the 6th. Not to mention around 3
mill in cap space opens up.
I don't think Rafi would like us snagging Zadina though. 😂
Even w/o Zadina, I'd still do it. |

In all seriousness now, what would you as a Detroit fan be willing to part with in exchange for McDavid and #8? - Wildschwein
Jeez... it would have to be Larkin and number 6 to start.
Connor McDavid
Oilers’ 2019 first round pick.
For
Dylan Larkin
Michael Rasmussen
Red Wings’ 2019 first round pick
Captials’ 2019 second round pick
Red Wings’ 2021 first round pick
I don’t know if that’s fair or not? It’s so hard to gauge that. Connor McDavid is a once in a life time player.. Larkin has that Yzerman quality to him. I don’t think the Wings really have the current depth to trade for him without gutting ourselves harshly.

Um, yes - jcragcrumple
Would think it’d have to be Eichel, Montour, Ristolainen, Nylander and 7th OA for McDavid, Lucic, Bear, and 8th overall |

The more I think about it, the more I hate you.
That’s literally half of our top six.
That leaves McDavid, AA, Bertuzzi [a reasonable nice top line] and then Nielsen, Hirose, and Abdelkader for our second. That destroys us. Badly. And without our best defenseman nor the pick probably used on Byram. That leaves DeKeyser and Cholowski as our top line for the next few years.
If it’s players for players.. I think our team’s could be a great middle six swapper. I could see us making a mid season move [if Veleno and Yamamoto come out strong]
Yamamoto, Gagner, and Nuge for Anthanasiou, Bertuzzi and Abdelkader.
Build off that. |

Then let's go back to what we liked. The deal above but without Zadina. Hell, even you even said (frank) yes to it, so no take backs! I'm totally fine with that. The only modification I'd allow from your end is changing that #6 to a 2020 first rounder, even if Byram is available. I have my reasons for why.
As for that proposal you brought up, I'll reply back to it later tonight. |
