I would be on board with 1 through 8 going 1-8 2-7 3-6 4-5. Then reset after the first round. If they want to keep east west separate til.the final. - jaws1955
its the only right way. There has been more than a few times where 2 or the top three teams are guaranteed to be eliminated by the Conference finals; its asinine |

Brian Boyle.
Leader. Penalty killer. Good faceoff man. Fourth line player.
I’ve been preaching depth. I think Brian Boyle should be a target for the Flyers at the right price. |

Yeah, he always plsyed well against the Flyers and pissed me off. May be a good Depth center. Can slide up if needed. Good hands for a big guy. Don't think the Preds used him on the PP, but the three teams he played with prior used him net front on the PP. Always played well defensively and is good PK and a good face off man. Give big depth at center. He is about 6'7" so has huge reach. Hell, put him, Coots and Morin out on PK and they can cover they whole zone with their reach. |

I think the preds were using him on the PP but even so, you have all your bases covered with Brian Boyle. Leadership, Penalty killer, size, depth player. I think he’s worth offering two or three years, even at age 34. |

Tyler Myers, Bouwmeester, Trouba etc etc
who does everyone want?
I keep watching Bouwmeester, still a good D with lots of experience. Maybe I just prefer a player on the cheap, with little risk, giving the young D a chance to grow. |

(Just sign Braydon Coburn for 1-year and be done with it)
(I have a feeling they're gonna go out and hand Dan Girardi a 5-year contract tho) |

Always liked him, thought he was underrated while in Philly.
with Bouwmeester, he still has a little O left in him. Both he and Coburn are good skaters
I am going to ignore Giradi comment |

He checks a lot of boxes: big, defensively sound, is still mobile, steady, veteran presence, can move up and down the pairings, and won't require and arm and a leg to sign. |

Should also mention that he's got bad hips. |

I’ve always read on this board respecting and loving the GM’s that play hard ball with players as they negotiate new deals. All of a sudden, a young player gets handed a deal that they may not deserve and the same guy says “good for you for getting the most you can”. This is only said when it’s a player on another team. If that guy plays here and he’s under preforming, everything changes. That’s when the deal is horrible. - SuperSchennBros
Jake is a good example of that. |

he resigned with the blues on a nice deal 1 year 3.25. He can still play. had a rough start after an injury and turned it around. |

If they still want him, he will stay there I’m sure. I just think he is a good stop gap with lots of experience. |

they do want him thats why they resigned him for another year....
he would have been a great fit here imo and said that a while back...term and money was ideal. |
