That doesn't make any sense. If Guhle was worth more than a first, then we would have traded Guhle for a 1st
- jcragcrumple

It makes sense in that they wanted an NHL ready Dman who was cost controlled, and they wanted him to play now, not wait the 3-4 years. So ya, current capability worth more than future prospective cabaility.

Could we have gotten a 1st for Guhle? No, so a first is worth more than Guhle

Except Guhle still needs development so if you’re going to call him “NHL ready” he’s ready to be a sub-par defender.

I am in a great mood

we have expected mccabe to turn the corner for a few years, and he hasn't

now if you think housley is/was clueless on how to coach the d, give him another shot with a contract but if he continues to be blah we have another hunwick on the roster

He’s a steady NHLer when he’s healthy, and he brings an element of the game our roster is very short on.

I agree, seems like McCabe peaked 2 years ago

I like him, but hes another face in the lockerroom, 6 years of losing

Could be housleys fault too

He would be best suited on the bottom pair but I like him as well, as long as the money is right.

Is this legit ? I’d assume we’d have to add our two first rounders this year to this as well just to tempt them.

what element is that, a losing culture?

we over value our own

IMO he is a 6/7 guy on a decent team and I want this team to be decent

The conversation started in the blog before. I offered Eichel, Reinhart and 7oa for McJesus and a 2nd

One of their posters countered with Risto, Montour, Olofsson, Sheary and 7oa for McJesus, Lucic and a 2nd

We're short on losing culture?????

You've been off your game since you stopped working. Maybe you need to get involved in something again to keep from getting distracted

If the oilers made that trade their poster suggested they would be better off folding as an organization.

Both vets on their 3rd coach? I'm not a fan of blaming Housley for their performance. Neither have evolved much in their careers.
