Were you able to get tickets in the first release or did you have to go on the secondary market?
- BINGO!

By the secondary market, you mean doing some stuff for a guy in an alley near the arena...right?

There are no alleys near the arena in Raleigh, Chief.

You gotta go under the stands at Carter-Finley.

I have a few friends/relatives in area who have season tix. They got the tickets for me at cost. I got a kick out of them complaining about the cost too. Sat in section 106 about 5 rows off the ice for less than $170 a ticket. That would have been $300+ at the Barc. (coming out to Rock you like a huricane is a riot by the way).

After talking to a lot of people at the tailgate and arena most people there are originally from other areas and moved there b/c of Taxes. I sat next to Canes fans that used to be Rangers, Flyers, Boston.... etc. I think that is why they are less insane.

Yeah, a lot of folks don't know how good they've got it. Not a lot of Born and Raised Canes fans yet. Really should be starting to see the first generation of them now, and the organization kind of squandered a lot of the good will they had with that generation by being super poopty for a decade.

Just a quick question. How did you become a hurricane fan in the first place if your up in Canada? Inquiring minds want to know

No hockey team in Saskatchewan.

Roughriders wear green.

Swift Current Broncos wear green.

Hartford Whalers wear green.

That's really all you need when you're 4.

Plus we only got two TV channels and I couldn't watch any NHL games anyway, so collecting cards was the closest I got at the time anyway (with the exception of the rare HNIC game when CBC would come in.)

You know that there used to be talk of the Islanders moving to Saskatoon, right?

Them and the Blues.

The rink in Saskatoon is bigger than Barclays and the Nassau, at least.

But Saskatoon isn't big enough for an NHL team. Not enough of a corporate base or TV market to make it worth while.

Would be the smallest city in the NHL by half a million people.

I can't tell you how many times I've mistakenly thought about or referred to either Saskatoon or Saskatchewan as Saskachetoon because of that movie

I have this argument all the time but he was signed for his veteran presence, penalty killing. He has done these things just fine. He might not score goals but that is not why he got signed

Islanders' record the previous two seasons with PB, but without Komarov.......failed to make playoffs.

Islanders' record the one season without PB, but with Komarov........made 2nd round of playoffs.

Coincidence? Maybe....
