I can't tell you how many times I've mistakenly thought about or referred to either Saskatoon or Saskatchewan as Saskachetoon because of that movie - eichiefs9
I may need to go back and watch that movie. |

Islanders' record the previous two seasons with PB, but without Komarov.......failed to make playoffs.
Islanders' record the one season without PB, but with Komarov........made 2nd round of playoffs.
Coincidence? Maybe.... - JohnScammo
Nope as much as people gate him he has helped this team more than he hurt them. Same for filippula |

Well, I get the "hate"...... It's frustrating watching him blow chances to score goals. His shot is subpar, to put it kindly. But I also get that there's a lot more to winning hockey games than just a good shot. Komarov does seem to bring those intangibles. I just think the Isles would be helped by a player who brought those qualities IN ADDITION to being able to shoot the puck........if they're going to get past the 2nd round in the future. |

Them and the Blues.
The rink in Saskatoon is bigger than Barclays and the Nassau, at least.
But Saskatoon isn't big enough for an NHL team. Not enough of a corporate base or TV market to make it worth while.
Would be the smallest city in the NHL by half a million people. - BINGO!
Blues were sold - and the NHL blocked the sale/move to Saskatoon - leading to Blues management not showing up to the 1983 NHL draft.
One of the better stories of how bush league the NHL was (and maybe still is). |

Crazy times.
And that's why there's a WHL team in Saskatoon playing in a 15,000 seat arena. |

My wife and I have been to Peurto Vallarta six times in the last 25 years.
The thing that always makes me chuckle is the beach vendors always have the bootleg sports gear - hats, bags, ponchos, etc.
Always Yankees, Bosox, Dodgers, Packers, Patriots...and Roughriders.
Apparently there's enough farmers spending their winters there that stocking Roughrider stuff in PV, Mexico is profitable. |

Yep! There was no reason to give Leo a 4 year deal and it's a big deal if Leo is going to be given an automatic spot in the lineup. What team was giving Leo 4 years or even 2? |

I think its the only change in my opinion.
I mean we could bring half the Sound tigers up to replace the Monkey vomit, Hickey, Komorav, Mayfield, Pelech, Martin, Moose Knuckle, Clutter, Filli, Bailey and Nelson. Did I miss anyone?

Man every other person I know goes to Mexico or Cuba for a week every winter.
And Rider gear outsells the (frank)ing Habs. |

Yeah, I don't think it's fair to Lehner, but I can see why they might try it. |

Maybe but I just think he's too slow for Carolina. My opinion but Moose knuckle hasn't been horrible. The team has been bad as a whole. Give The Canes some credit for that.
The team needs to play north south and stop with the fancy shat. This east, west dipsy doodle shat is driving me nuts. Way to many turnovers! Get bodies in front of the net and put pucks on net as well. Have to play a greasy ugly game.
We are not going to out skill The Canes |

It's not outlandish and it makes it pretty easy to digest since Greiss owned the Canes this year. Might also spark some of the boys, knowing that they really haven't give Lehner much to work with in this series, up to this point. Hopefully, if that does happen, they play guilty and get their asses in gear. Not holding my breath though. |
