Kap instead? - senstroll
They're in a cap crunch too. 10mil for 2 goalies, Bennett and Tkachuk. Can't add Kap or Johnsson's salary without dumping something (Stone/Neal/Brodie).
Maybe look at getting Hamonic. RHD, on a cheapish deal and the only guy without a NTC.
Additionally, if they had a guy similar to Matt Martin then Kadri wouldn't be the designated hit man. He wouldn't have to run around like a tool. Kadri and Rielly are best bang for the buck on the team. DO NOT TRADE EITHER - Hardbalz
Yes, if only the Leafs had Matt Martin, they’d definitely win the Cup...

These two teams deserve each other. Goon Jenner against Cross-Check-King Chara and Backstabbing talentless Backes. Too funny hearing a fan of the Boston Goons complaining about officiating. - winsix
How many games would Kadri have got for
1) The regular season cross-check to the face that Marchand got away with.
2) The leaping shoulder to the head (primary point of contact) that drew blood, by Pastrnak on Muzzin
3) The elbows to the face that Debrusk threw
4) Marchand's punch to the back of the head when the refs weren't looking
We all know Kadri would have been suspended for any or all of these offenses. The only reason Marchand is not the league leader in suspensions is because the league is afraid if he gets anymore they will be forced to escalate. So, he gets away with everything now.

trade him for a decent prospect and a pick and move on

Completely agree - Kadri would have been suspended for all four instances - on the other hand, Kadri really needs to go. Production was terrible this year, 13 power play points and 16 goals. He will still get a reasonable return, he brings Leafs really bad Karma, let him be hated by officials for some other team. Unfortunately, Frenchie will have to change his avatar.

Giving away two 1st and a 2nd to Boston has worked so well for Toronto in the past. - Scabeh
It didn't work out so well for Boston either. I was told they were set for the next decade+ with Seguin and Hamilton leading the way. And Jared Knights hype was hilarious.

Yeah it's really too bad the Bruins didn't win a cup shortly after that trade
