I do believe that Dubas will make moves more based on his belief than Babs.

I could see him wanting Nylander at 3C but then he needs to be on the 1PP.

I think Bracco is going to come in next year and play Marners position on the 2nd PP.

And if that’s the case a 3rd line of Moore-Nylander-Bracco could actually be pretty good.

So if NSH is legit interested in Kadri and the Leafs want to get rid of Z. The Leafs need to throw in a little something extra. Maybe one of the NHL ready prospects they have not named Sandin Bracco or Lil.

If I could dump Zaitsev in a trade for a pair of dirty Babsocks I would do it.

I’ve never heard of any locker room issues.

He’s a big personality which is good to have unless you already have one. And the Leafs don’t.

There is a deal to be had with Kadri and Subban as centre pieces. If Z goes the other way I would love it. If not no thanks.

Santo yeah I think Benning is still a target and thinking Edmonton might do a bit more of a trade there. Said before wouldn't mind a package deal there and getting Kassian AND Benning there for us. Another good young d plus a gritty winger who is more physical but can skate and keep up since he was riding shotgun some for McJesus there.

Leafs fans should hope so too.

Acquiring Subban, given his age and contract status, is very much an "old" Leafy thing to do.

No doubt the Leafs need a RHD who can step up in the playoffs.

But given the cost to acquire him, he's not worth 3 years at 9 million.

They need to stay as young and cheap as possible.

If the Leafs lost to Boston in the 3rd round, maybe you make that move. But they didn't.
