I actually think Tyler Myers would be a really good partner for Ghost.

You could keep both and move Hagg down to 7th. I can't imagine a scenario where AMac isn't waived and sent down.

Myers is making 5.5M now. As a UFA, he's likely to get a raise. I have zero interest in that. He's an overrated player in my opinion. He is exactly the kind of player a team in the Flyers position shouldn't be going anywhere near.

The difference between Ghost and most defensemen is, if a defenseman’s offense fizzles our over time, they’re still capable of defending. Ghost is a below average defender.

I never understood this dislike or down playing of Brayden Schenn. I don’t think anyone ever mistook him for a first line stud, especially when Claude Giroux was the top center on this team at the time but he’s being paid accordingly and he’s pretty gritty. He’s not remotely built like a power forward but he plays bigger than what he is. Any kid willing to throw hands with Matt Martin or Jerome Iginla, what’s not to like? It’s not like he ever carried himself like Richards and Carter away from the rink.

Say whatever you want about my user name, I created it because we had two brothers playing in the city of brotherly love. That’s it. If we have to consider trading for an affordable guy at a decent age, I think we should think about bringing Schenn back. He can play all three forward positions.

Yeah I'm not touching Myers with a 10 foot pole. I'd take 2 or 3 years of stralman. But I hope we steer clear of the ufa as far as defense goes. I just don't believe enough I'd there. Prefer we make a trade for a defenseman and find a really strong fit.
