He has 3 years left . Pay him his bonus and send him to Utica. It cost the same amount to keep him or send him down. If he insists on staying on payroll then next year send him to KZoo. As long as I never see his ugly face in Vancouver again then I am happy.

Bad for television ratings but I’d be watching because I love seeing young teams win. Both CBJ and Colorado have been building for awhile now.

I think it'd be a great series, just a real hard sell for the NHL.

The Canucks rebuild reminds me a bit of the Avs: great young building blocks, but we just need a bit more to get over that hump. The Avs had that one year where they were top of the table after 3 seasons of no playoffs, then crashed back down for 3 years and just now are coming back up. See something similar happening for the Canucks.

They drafted Barrie in 2009 and Makar in 2017 with MacKinnon, Rantanen, Landeskog and Jost all in between and they’re just only a wildcard team. Building takes a long time. Gotta supplement with good trades and some UFA signings too.
