They drafted Barrie in 2009 and Makar in 2017 with MacKinnon, Rantanen, Landeskog and Jost all in between and they’re just only a wildcard team. Building takes a long time. Gotta supplement with good trades and some UFA signings too.
- Pacificgem

They forgot to draft a goalie. Grubauer is solid but not stellar. A great goalie can hide a multitude of deficiencies and make a coach look better than they are.

Not as easy by hand as you think when there is nowhere to move it out of the way. Move it into the lane you use to back up? Same problem. Move it 200 feet out of the way? 3 guys? The boats are floating out there because there is no beach to drag up onto so they cant help.

Just stupid people... when the work force left town... just the slack jaws were mostly left behind... this town is dumber by light years over 14 years ago when I moved here when the mills/mines were going full tilt. Even the kids at the drive thru windows were 100% more competent being the children of competent adults who've all now mostly left...

I deposited $1000 into a bank account the other day... she gives me a receipt for $200. Then she tries to blame me because after she counted she asked "$200?". It didn't occur to me that she would make that mistake so my ears hear "ten hundred". Hows it my fault? She cant tell the difference between 10 twenties and 50 twenties after counting it... a (frank)ing bank teller???? I caught the mistake not her... she should stfu and go work at Walmart.

I keep a small hydraulic jack in my trunk for certain occasions.

We had a clown at work years ago that used to park in front of the loading area all the time so we jacked up his vehicle enough so it still looked like the tires were touching the ground, then put small jack stands under his axles to hold it in place. When the tool got in his vehicle to leave and put it in drive he just stayed there going nowhere...(frank) was it funny watching the terd figure it all out.

Ya I hear you tough to move here vehicle but maybe there would have been enough big trucks there and some tow cables just to drag here vehicle out of the way. but then you risk damage which you are liable for. Too bad you just couldn't call bylaw and they could fine her for parking there...nothing speaks like cash lol

What a pos LE is. Blaming the coach for his garbage play when he's for more than1 coach during his time here with the same result. Excuses!

Green is known to be a players coach and usually gets more out of a player.

It looks like his issue is with greens insistence he break a sweat

- SMBDragon

He's trying to force the team to move him. Bush-league move. Did LE score more under the previous coach?? lol

They’ve had Varlomov for eight years now, he’s 29, and just traded for Grubauer, who’s 27, so they have some time, but ya, they need to draft a tender.

Edit, just checked, they’ve drafted four goaltenders in the past three drafts.

They might draft Knight this year with the second pick in the first round.

I never watched them this year so I’m surprised at how quick they are and they can play a heavy game.
- Pacificgem

CLB is stacked. They have the ingredients to go to the final if Gary's refs will let them past Boston. Would love to see SJ vs CLB final and the Thornton vs Torts hate can start!!

We will have a good team this year once we get Trouba Ristolainen Miller and Duchene

I’ve been reading other teams threads and everyone has Duchene on their list of forwards next year lol, kids gonna get paid, he’s playing better than I thought he would for Tortorella.

lol

We'll move into the top 20 next year but probably miss the WC spot. I can see one UFA signing for Bo's line and a RHD coming in. Will be interesting to see who we draft.

I myself expect more change than one forward one D .
I think we will see at least three changes on D and at least two forwards.

SJ vs BOS final. Joe beats the team who drafted him.

To put our team into perspective, we couldn’t make the playoffs with our goalie having a career year but the Canes are in the 3rd round with 2 back ups. Just shows how many holes we really have.

Werenski and Jones are so good for them on D and they’re only 23 and 21. Dubois has been impressive too, 61 points as a 20 year old, Boone Jenner as a third line center has been great. Just a good solid deep team with awesome goaltending.

I think this was MacKinnons 6 th season in the NHL and he was the #1 pick and made the team as an 18 year old. As good as Petey is, he is no MacK.

Need more McGinn and Foegle and less Spooner and Eriksson
More Anderson and Jenner and less Goldobin and Baertschi.

I think they’ve been building for a long time as well, I don’t think they made the postseason for a decade. Now they have some great kids up front and on defense.

Canucks have a lot of work left in my opinion.

We’d need a lot of changes for that to happen, really poor depth behind Pettersson, Horvat and Boeser up front. If Markstrom even just slightly regresses, teams in for another long season.

Personally I'm not expecting much change. top 4 D is set for nest year with Hughes Edler Tanev Stecher

LE will probably get moved as he seems to be a problem for Green now.

LE for Lucic is a very real possibility. Gonna be awesome around here.

that would be OK but was kind of hoping STL would get their cup. Looks like Dallas is gonna be tough.
