Lucic has a No Movement Clause on and off the ice. As in he can't move at all. Forget the up tempo style of play the Cancuks are playing. Unless they go to a no tempo forget it. He's past his due date.

I'd actually like if we had a bit more bully on the team.
Give Roussel someone to tagteam with. - dbot
I think the problem is that not many players want to be the bully anymore. Virtanen certainly doesn't, and Lucic only did it to establish himself in the league - he's got little interest anymore in being that kind of player.
If you want the same brash, fearless energy, you'd more likely find it in an underdog kid with a chip on his shoulder IMO

Just not some with the IQ of a rock and skates like he's in cement along with a bonus year on a horrendous contract.
I find it hard that people actually want this for a team that they profess that they cheer for.

That's been the theory for sometime.
It seems like you get a bit of that for a game or 2, fans get excited and then the player can't bring it consistently.

Agreed
Why not try to develop our own energy players instead of overpaying for others that have more miles on their body?
Even Roussel is gonna tone it down eventually due to his head injuries

Lol - nobody âwantsâ Lucic. Some people want additional assets. Chuck Lucic in the minors. Who gives a (frank)
Maroon is having a career year for his hometown team.
I see him re-signing there.
Time for Looch to come home and find that magic! - dbot
Thatâs just 1 example. Go get Simmonds, McQuaid, etc. or some poop like that instead of handicapping the future core just to satisfy fans need for a face puncher and glass banger for the next 2 seasons.
